I believe in systems that have both process and rules free of personal feelings/friendship. I so hate personal drama that we all have seen dragged into Sythe too many times. I did not come here to make friends, I came here to do business and support my personal off-time activities. Eventually, inspired by Sin, I took a more active role in supporting both the community and members. No one IMO will ever rise to the cause better than Sin did, however I was going to give it a shot. My first focus was an aggressive effort to make a scammer's life as challenging as I possibly could; catch them before they can is my view. Donations were next as we all can agree the community was lacking an easy method of payment and even mod involvement in scamming those that wished to do nothing but help. Donation scams ended the day I took on this free service and IMO, have never been stronger. In the past six-months donations have been key to what we have today and do not seem to be slowing. I see much improvement as members continue to support. As a moderator, I felt it was my job to insure a fair review/proof for those members who had their membership challenged. I took my job serious and did several battles with staff behind closed doors over proof to support my vote. My measure of proof was simple.. if it did not meet the same level required by a member, I did not want to hear or see it. Today I honestly feel Sythe lacks a system of review at the moderator level. The final straw for me stepping down was an Admin's decline to consider Nec's evasion case for review. I did the research based upon FireZ's PM/input and found what I felt was clear proof he had lied in his request for pardon and he did in fact have a strong connection for evading/scamming. As we see today, he is banned.

Where are we today? I'm a member much the same as you that continues to support Sythe. Although my activity level may drop considerably, I would pass to all that the community is who determines the future of the site and the leadership Sythe has in place. Do not leave, stay and fight for what you believe in. I’ll continue to be an azz and I’ll continue to be aggressive in changes I feel should be considered. As for a position as Moderator, I’m here if the Staff feels they need and or will put up with my aggressive approach to serve the members of the community.

 

The most serious post I've seen in the Spam Forum for a long time. I know we never spoke much, but I'll miss you Spyike. You were a good one. I hope you will someday return.
