Existence

What defines existence? In order for an object/person/idea to exist in reality, what must be true about the object/person/idea?

To have actual being; be real.

That's a dictionary definition, let that be the only one on this thread.
I'm asking what it takes for something to have actual being or to be real.

In the world, there is nothing you can be sure at 100%. The only thing you can be sure at 100% is that if you are thinking and than you do exist.

 

So therefore the only thing that I can accurately say exists is myself?
Then what is the computer I am using to post this message, only a possible entity?

But I think, and I can use the computer to display my thoughts, where someone like you could read them and rethink them yourself, does this mean I exist and you exist but the computer that proves that you exist may not exist?

 

No, this whole conversation could not exist, your body may not exist.
you may just be a conscience, dreaming this.
