New to GFX and need advice.

I started GFX 2 months ago and I feel I am pretty good with effects and such but I feel I need more help with text (font,ideas and blah). The way i have been trying to get better was by looking at tutorials and I bought a couple sigs off of some people like wolves29.

ever try clip masking your tuts?

typography is sigs is pretty hard tbh. it takes a while to learn it.

 

Where do you see typography??? there your basic beginer sigs try reading some tuts. Text is normally a fail in tags unless you know what your doing so stray away from text for now. Use clipping masks on brushes and try experimenting with c4ds some more.

and im gonna have to disagree with you w000t. I say keep adding text so get learn what feels/looks right or wrong.

You should add text but if it doesn't look right remove it as it will bring down the neatness of the tag.

Thank you chiraag2000 and w000t for responding to my thread and giving some helpful advice. I am planning to keep doing what i am doing but start stepping it up a bit and start paying for classes. I would love to start getting competitive around mid October.
