Well its been about a week since the IRC was released, so i thought I'd provide feedback, and include a few suggestions. The First and main Thing I think needs addressing is: Activity I think for this BETA to be successful, the IRC needs to be tested, by alot of people, I think that the IRC should be encouraged alot more to be used, explained why its going to be better than MSN Trading. Atm, there is already a small group of active people, Staff and Community-interested users of sythe, and a few actual traders. The Second thing I'll address is: Relations. One thing that I've really enjoyed about the IRC is the accessibility to talking to other users in a group, easily.. Inlcuding Staff, I have spoke to staff personally that I've never spoken to before (Sythe and Matthew as an example), I've been able to ask direct questions to each, and they've happily answered. The Third Thing is: IRC Mechanics. I think service bots should be included, the reason for this because it simplify's the running of certain channels, Staff are able to be use access quickly. Another thing is Channel owners. the ability to set +q (channel owner) to a user is restricted. So if An Op of a channel OP's another user, then that other OP has the ability to remove OP from the original OP.. Also, some people have mentioned they have had problems using Tokens and logging into the IRC in general, a good example is pigbow, I even attempted to help him myself through Teamviewer, it doesnt work. Anyway, thats all i have to say really, I'll be looking forward to the Webclient and the further trading abilities to be implemented
Once the webclient is up the activity will increase enormously, as even with all the guides most people can't use mIRC. Just give it time.
I don't get it, how do I get into IRC.... all the guides are so confusing maybe make a youtube video guide? =)
I really would like to use the IRC and I have read two different guides on how to do it but nevertheless I can't seem to get it to work. Maybe one day I will find it out and then talk to you all.
