    New Scam

i always ask for a pm, with details of the trade etc.
never thought asking for a pm could actually get myself banned :-\
its kinda disturbing that people go to such extremes to scam another person.

    New Scam

Happened to me a month or two ago. He kept telling me to say something like dragon1234. Then I was like "...?" So I sent my email and the other persons email in the PM and then he blocked me like two minutes later.

It'd be a good idea to get full contact details before trade; a phone call or webcam session would be great.

    New Scam

Scammers are coming up with new ways everyday instead of just playing fair...

Here's another type of scam I've experienced on a different forum:

Scammers: Person A and Person B
Victim: Person C (looking to buy/sell/trade something)

Person A creates an email that is similar to a high ranked staff's name, could be exactly the same but making it @live.com or something like that.

Person B now contacts person C that he is interested in selling/buying/trading what person C wants to sell/buy/trade.

Person C will not trust Person B because he probably doesn't have much vouches, Person B says that he will get a trusted MM. Person B invites Person A, who is using an email similar to a name of a high rank staff on the forum and pretends to be them and the MM.

Person C trusts Person A, gives person A the details, money or whatever and Person A and B leaves when they get what they need and block Person C.
