Guide Sales Post Requirment

Please note: This is a suggestion for a post requirement, in order to post a thread. Not to look in the section, nor post in the section.

Pretty simple, the forum is cluttered with loads of people with 1-50 post(s) making a thread selling a guide. 99% of the time, they're either a ban evader, selling a leaked guide, or selling a guide that doesn't work.

Why not just make a post requirement to make a thread...

These were 4/5 threads I randomly clicked in the Guide Sales section.

Odds are at least 1/2 of those guides can be found on Google, if not more.

As well, it's very annoying be requested to verify a constant fluctuation of leaked guides. A majority of those guides come from that user group.

I support. How big of a post requirement are you looking for?

 

Stupid, idea considering there's already a verified guide section; regardless of someone's post count, I think their guides could be just as good as anyone whose a spam whore.

 

I think its a good idea.

Verified guide section is more dead than the normal guide section which is full of leaked shit guides.

 

I already suggested this and it got shot down. Therefore, I don't support.

 

I support, since most of the guides I see are from members that JUST joined.

But what happens if they spam their way up to X posts? Sure, they'd be infracted, but they'll still have the post count.

 

Then make it 200

 

They'll just spam until they can sell.

Trust me, they are going to get infracted if they decide to spam.

 

It's not hard to 'spam' without getting infracted. You technically can't be infracted if you stay somewhat on top.

And plus, who is to say the best guide maker is new to Sythe and wants to sell a guide or two?

Honestly, just make all guides need verifying. Makes it fair to everyone AND adds buyer insurance.

 

Who's going to verify everyones guide? No one is lol.
Either I think this rule should be implemented or leave it how it is.

 

I may be mistaken, but doesn't Sythe have a guide verifying committee of some sort?

If yes, add more members.

If not, make one.

Don't give a rank for it. Suggested make User Educators / Staff team members at first and expand to normal members if demand increases.

 

They can verify a guide if someone wants them to for more sales.
They already denied the idea of a rank anyways.

 

So it's really only a matter of obligating people to have their guides verified before they are allowed to sell them.

 

Yeah but no sane person is going to post on every topic asking if they would like their guides verified lol.

 

Well, since it would be mandatory to get your guides verified to sell them, the sellers would be motivated to get the attention of one of the guide verifiers. There would be a list of them, they'd just PM them if they're available and have them verify it.

 

Not that easy though, since I used to be a verifier and most of the time you don't want to bother verifiying their poorly written guides.

 

Just make the team fluid.

Let people take breaks from it, have replacements ready, etc.
