RWT Major - Change in Decision?

Had a recent ban experience and was curious if anyone else may have encountered similar.

To summarize, some three, four weeks back I decided to buy gold on a dormant account I was going to start playing on the side. Got caught, was issued a single warning this time as the account was clean and housed no past offences. Skip forward to yesterday, the 7th. Was idling at the GE, left my character to grab something to eat and was gone maybe fifteen mins. Saw I was logged when I returned and thought it was strange since I had extended login using Runelite settings. Tried logging in and found I had been perma'd for serious rule breaking "RWT Major" which I thought was weird only because I was given a warning and never bought gold afterwards. The first transaction was actually supposed to get me started to be able to sustain myself for gp (which it did, for the short time heh.)

Not really seeing myself being able to recover this account to be fair. Thought they may have had a change of heart and just decided to perma me weeks later. Just though I'd share this.

 

Post a reddit thread on r/2007scape about it. Jagex are normally more strict towards sellers than they are buyers.

If you get a RWT ban you're done. Just move on.

 

You might have a chance on r/2007scape if you're completely honest about not buying gold after the warning. But prepared for the zealots to flame you for upvotes.
