Black Ops thread

Wow. Flak Jacket is stupid.

I knew the rest of the stuff you posted, but I didn't know they would make Flak Jacket like that...

 

Tubes are stupid. Flak Jacket is the right idea.

 

Really? A fucking full on explosive hitting your body and you survive?
White getting hit with a tomohawk in the same spot you will die?

They are special tomahawks...

But flak jacket allowing you to survive a direct impact is stupid beyond all belief.

 

I'm excited of what the multiplayer will be like. I'm a little nervous as to what the gun and perk selection will be, as well as the killstreaks. I really do not like the idea of an RC car. Seems kind of childish to put it in a shooting game.

 

Flack Jacket sounds great. Who cares about realism in a game? I don't want to run around dying from noobtubes all the time just because it's realistic. I think it's great that noobtubes have a counter, so it won't be a noobtube-fest like in MW2.

 

Launchers were confirmed to be nowhere near as good as MW2's.

Flak Jacket is overkill.

Some people want, at the very least, a small amount of realism. If we took out all realism, we'd have one borked game.

 

I'll just play it, that's for sure.

Lets hope it's not better than Reach.

 

I'm kinda excited looks fun but, maps better be fun, and the leveling seems confusing on the videos I watched.

 

You get currency.

You spend said currency on equipment, guns, attachments, etcetera. Everything must be unlocked by the money system now. There is a still a progressive level system, but it's not directly involved with leveling up as far as we know.

 

Flak jacket is just to counter explosives which I don't use in the game. By making tubes/launchers ineffective, less people will spam them thus making a better balanced/more variety game.

Also:

I agree entirely with having a perk that reduces explosive damage, but being able to survive a direct impact explosion? Kinda bogus, y'know?

The split screen is awesome beyond awesome.

 

They tried doing that with the Blast Shield, look how that turned out. Still can kill them easily.

The M203 is going to be one of, if not the hardest, attachments to unlock.
Yes, you get currency, but in order to spend the currency you must also complete challenges/reach a certain level to spend it on the item you want.

Launchers are weaker.

Pre ordered it straight away, I hope it's good.

 

From what I've seen so far, Black Ops looks like a great game. The only concern I have at the moment is the graphics. I understand that a different company made Black Ops then MW2, but I think that in a series of 7 games, the graphics should be better by now.

 

Treyarch made WaW, which had the best graphics of all games. When you got hit by a grenade, you didn't just fall over. You lost an arm.

Sadly, it seems Treyarch is catering to the <18 generation of gamers by having the 'fall over' graphics.

 

It will be better than MW2 I have no doubt about that but I know Crysis 2 will be better I'm still debating whether or not to get Black ops but I might get Guitar hero instead

 

Crysis 2 does look pretty good, but let's talk about Black Ops.

Anyone got any new information?
