How to play N64 Games (Such as Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time) on your PC! 5k+char.

Hello, everyone. Jordan here, and today, I'll be walking you through how to play Nintendo 64 games on your PC, with ease!

NOTE: After you have your games downloaded, there is NO NEED for internet access to play them!
This is GREAT for internet outages, or just something to do while you bot

1. Why do this?
-This question has quite a simple answer - playing games like this can be more enjoyable than things such as Flash Games, Java games, etc. and can give you something to do, to either take a break from RuneScape, World of Warcraft, Aion Online, League of Legends, or whatever you may play (>.> I play them all).

2. Programs & Walkthrough
-In this section of the guide, you will need the following programs:
*Project 64 V1.6
*WinRAR
*A new folder to store your games.

-Walkthrough:
Step 1: Download Project 64 V1.6 (click)


*note: Open the program for the first time, and select your language*


Step 2: Create a new folder on your desktop, titled "N64 Roms"
Do this by:
2a. Right click on your desktop
2b. Go to "New" and select it.
2c. Click "Folder"
2d. Type a name for your folder.

Step 3: Download WinRAR if you have not already.
32-bit download (click)
64-bit download (click)

Step 4: Find your ROMs you wish to play, you can find a list of them at the following websites:
EmuParadise
CoolROM
DopeROMs

Step 5: Select your ROM, and download it, in this example, I will be using Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time!

Note: Do NOT download from Binverse, that's just their partner site, be sure to download in the following manner:




Step 6: Installing your RAM for running!
6a. Open with WinRAR
6b. Select your file
6c. Press "Extract To"
6d. Select the folder you created in Step 2.
6e. Press "OK"

Step 7: Open Project 61 V1.6, and import your ROM
7a. Click "File"
7b. Select "Open ROM"

7c. Navigate to your ROM folder created in Step 2.
7d. Select your game, and press "OK"


Step 8: Enjoy playing your ROM!


3. Configuration
-In this section of the guide, you will learn how to configure your game, if you are not content with the presets installed for you!

Step 1: Open Project 64 V1.6, and look under "Options"
1a. Select "Configure Graphics Plug-ins"
1b. Edit the options to your computer's settings (Found in your Control Panel -> Graphics)

Step 2: Open Project 64 V1.6, and look under "Options"
2a. Select "Configure Controller Plug-ins"
2b. Edit the controls to your own desire

Step 3: Enjoy your gameplay!!

4. Tips, Notes, Hints & Tricks

Tip 1:
To pause your gameplay, you can simply minimize your Project 64 V1.6 client.
Tip 2:
You can save your game at any time by just going to "System -> Save"
Tip 3:
Likewise to the above tip, you can resume your gameplay by going to "System -> Restore"!
Tip 4:
You can play your games in Fullscreen mode by pressing the keys Alt and Enter simultaneously!
