Using Skills to Make Money

Hey, I'm rather new here but as a skiller on Runescape I thought I'd share some ways I have made millions. I don't see the point of charging people to make money on a game so here it goes...

P2P ONLY

1) Games Necklaces (8)

7 Crafting Needed
7 Magic Needed

Games Necklaces (8) sell for 1,042 on average as of September 19th, 2010.
You'll need cosmic runes to enchant the Sapphire Necklaces.
You'll need Gold Bars and Cut Sapphires to make them.
I suggest using Port Phasmatys furnace as it's one of the fastest and closest trips to the bank.

On average I made 600/hr sapphire necklaces.

Profit:

69(cosmic runes)+93(Gold Bar)+569(cut sapphire)= 731

1,042-731=311 profit per necklace made. You'll be gaining good magic exp and crafting exp!


2) Ring of Duelling (8)

27 Crafting needed
27 Magic needed

Another simple and easy crafting method which can gain you a lot of levels fast. Instead of spinning flax do this..

Ring of Duelling (8) sell for 2,275 as of September 19th, 2010

Cut Emeralds sell for 1,867 + 69(Cosmic Runes) + 93(Gold Bars)=2029

=246 profit per ring

You'll need a bit more money to make a steady profit as Cut Emeralds are expensive. To be honest I'd suggest to make Games Necklaces because they will always be in demand because of their uses.


3) Mahogany Cutting/Planks

This one is my fav. You'll be getting a high woodcutting level and raking in the cash. You can use the AutoPlank bot to make life easier for you...def. worth it.

What you'll need:

A lot of trading sticks


What's so great about this is that trading sticks are 6gp each and you can buy in bulk. I have 241k of them in my bank and I'll tell you what to do.

It costs 100 trading sticks to get inside which is 600gp. Then you can run or walk to the banker(only can deposit) 10 seconds away outside of the woodcutting place. He charges 10 trading sticks per log. So it'll cost you 270 trading sticks in total.

370 trading sticks are used round trip. 370*6=$2,220 used up.

Well 27 Mahogany Logs are sold for 438 each as of September 19th, 2010.

27*438=11,826. If you're using D Axe the trips go by fast.

HERE'S THE BEST PART! YOU CAN GET SPECIAL MAHOGANY LOGS FROM CUTTING AS WELL! These allow you to save the $1,500 each it costs to convert the logs into planks..

Two special mahogany logs can be used to convert up to 26 teak logs and/or mahogany logs into teak/mahogany planks.

So, you use your two special logs and save 39,000 from using them instead of paying cash to convert.

SO LET ME BREAK DOWN THE PROFITS!!

Example:

You chop down 1,000 mahogany logs with on average 30-40 special logs.

That's 37 round trips which will cost you 82,140.

You use the special logs to convert your mahogany logs for free into planks.

You can autoplank it I assume which shouldn't take long.

So for free you make 1,000 mahogany planks which sell for 2,074 each as of September 19th, 2010.

2,074M - 82,140 = 1,991,860 profit per 1,000 logs cut and 1,000 logs converted.

I cut on average 450-500 mahogany logs per hour at 96 WC with a D axe.
I convert 390-500 planks an hour...maybe more depends.

So this can potentially average out to 400-600k/hour.

I have some more skillful methods but that will be for a later time...obviously all for free.
