Marijuana.

Well, I'm active marijuana smoker.I've been hearing roomers that my school is giving a drug test tomorrow and have a couple questions.

1. Can schools even give you random drug tests

2.If they can is there any punishment for having THC in your system. (not possessing it, just having it in your system)

3.If there is whats the worst that can happen

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this if its not just move it please.​

 

If your in the USA then you can always just not bring weed and be like. It's not my fault grandma didn't tell me her brownies were special.

 

I believe you can be subject to random drug tests, it's probably state-dependent though.

If they detect THC in your system, or whatever they're looking for, they'll probably submit you to your school's drug 'rehab' classes, basically classes on why weed turns you into an evil communist family-killing heroin addict. This is just an assumption though.

You'll get to enjoy boring propaganda classes. It's not that bad.

 

In the free world, you/your parent would have to agree to it beforehand.

In the USA? No idea. My advice would be to become suddenly 'ill' (although they may spring one on you when you 'get better'). I assume you'll be suspended if caught, and your parents notified.

Then you'll just have to deal with your school's awesome drug 'rehab' classes, but I don't know if they'll even go that far. I think they can do random drug tests if you are suspected of having/doing drugs only.

 

they cant just randomly drug test you.....as long as your not in possesion its fine. if your eyes are really red then just say "allergies" if you dont have weed in possision its its okay

I wouldn't worry. If you haven't got any on you... I doubt they'll do anything. Even if they do drug test you, Marijuana would be very low on their list for checking given that there is no law in America that says you cannot have Marijuana in your system...

The only 'regulation' is that certain companies submit you to a drug test to see if you use, because they may require tasks that they don't want you to be high for, and such. But the only thing that comes out of that is not being hired >.>.

 

The Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution provides, in part, that “[t]he right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizure, shall not be violated.” I doubt anything is gonna happen to you..

Yeah bro you're fine. Public schools are not allowed to drug test you. Just refuse.

 

My assumption is that they want to do some sort of experiment to get the statistics for drug users in their school. But you should be fine though... tell us how it goes after the test goes down.

 

Should be fine, Personally, I wouldn't allow my school to do that too me couldn't that be classified as invasion of privacy? its not really their business of whats in your system now is it?

 

I know in Illinois, they cannot have a random drug test on minors unless they have parental consent. basically, when the time comes for the test, if they do give you one, just tell them you do not want to take it. basically they don't tell you that you can refuse it because they don't think you'll know. A school wide drug test would most likely be just a mouth-swab that would only be able to detect if you've smoked pot within the last 24 hours or so. honestly, if you don't bring weed to school and don't smell like it, you have nothing to worry about.

 

They will require your parents to sign a form to let you take the drug test. They can't do anything if you have THC in your system, You will only get punished if you're in possession of drugs, and you can also get suspended if you are high at that time, you signed a policy saying that you will get suspended if you're under the influence or drugs and alcohol. Just relax and if they find THC they might let your parents know that you've been doing drugs that's probably the worst.

 

Get detox asap if you are sure, kids in my school were expelled for eating and distributing brownies, and I was gonna get one two the day they got busted O_O good thing I didn't.

 

At my old school, not submitting to a drug test warranted about 30 days in alternative education placement.

This is why I never went to school.

having drugs in your system and being a drug dealer are 2 different things.
