Is smoking marijuana bad?

It's only bad because its smoke going into your lungs and that can cause cancer in extreme amounts.

i have smoked pot everyday for the last 4 years and that is how it i expect it to be for a long time

 

Effects vary.

Most people just get lazy and hungry. Some get completely hyperactive.

I have nothing against Marijuana. It is essentially a medicine, and I wish it were legalized in all countries, to get rid of this 'cool' factor and make it used when it needs to be used, ie when you desire whatever effect it has on you, as by fulfilling your needs it can make you more productive as an individual. At the same time I think you'd be very stupid to make it a habit, for obvious reasons. I personally am not interested, because in my eyes, the more things I'm dependent on, the more that can go wrong, and I'm not interested in feeling lazy anyway - some people have to work.

If you do choose to take it, and find it pleasant, do NOT make the assumption that other drugs are the same.

 

If you do it like once or twice a month it may even have positive effects according to recent research! Well I live in Holland anyways so I can do it legaly.

 

A social joint or sesh is fine in my eyes; where I live it's somewhat of a culture and there aren't many teenagers who HAVEN'T tried it. The illegality of the substance doesn't phase me - compared to alcohol I see it as somewhat of a safer option to have fun.
I don't really like the way some people can become reliant upon the drug though (take my father who has smoked at least 4 joints a day since he was 18 - and trust me it shows, especially the non-existence of any relationship between us), but that's the case with many drugs - even legal ones.

I don't think Marijuana is ever going to develop out of being a drug.

 

Bad for your health because ppl can smell it on u...plus it causes lung cancer. I guess the only positives would be it makes you feel good and u can feel coller about urself idk

 

I smoked every day for a week, realized it wasn't worth the cash I was putting into it. Sure it felt good, but was it really worth the price? Being a poor college student, no.

Honestly, I don't think weed has any harmful side affects other than possible cancer for chronic smokers.

I think it's worth trying a few times, I smoked a lot my first time and didn't feel a thing, which is common, but the second time I got pretty messed up, it was good fun. Just don't drive the first time your stoned, I was super paranoid.

I don`t believe everything the government says... but when it comes down to them and making laws they do it with extensive evidence that this is bad for you and will only take you down a bad path. In the case of weed that's been proven over and over again...

 

Except it's safer then alcohol and tobacco(both regulated) and enforcing the law upon it costs tax payers a lot of money that could be used as tax to better YOUR life.

Marijuana is bad for you? ahah. ahahahahahahah. Let's say your crazy little opinion is right, alcohol and cigarettes ruin thousands upon thousands of lives, yet both remain legal and use has dropped due to education provided on both?

The reason pot is "illegal" is because the government has no way of regulating its use/trade if they did legalize it.

 

I only use it in social circumstances, for example party or with friends etc.

It's a really good way to get girls as well, just say I've got some draw (or whatever you call it wherever you live) and I was looking to smoke it with someone, 9 times out of 10 she'll say okay! and then you're unlucky if you don't get somewhere with her.

It's been 2 years since I first took it and I really like the high that comes off it, it's much better than being drunk (as well as safer) and it's so fucking awesome if you make brownies with it. The high you get off brownies is like 3x more intensified.

 

Depends how you define bad. If you can smoke it one night and be alive in the morning that sounds okay to me.

People have been smoking weed forever, it's the safest of any drugs.
It is impossible to overdose from it, nobody has ever died from it.
It's not really much different when your under the influence of weed than
being sober. Nobody can really tell if your high. It doesn't really make you
dumb. I've been smoking weed for a while and I'm in 11th grade and I get
good grades. I think people get the idea that if you smoke weed you become
an idiot/dumb/failure at life because lots of people who already don't care about
anything and fuck their lives up start smoking weed. But it really doesn't affect you
at all. It's completely safe.
