Is smoking marijuana bad?

Just a general question -
Is smoking marijuana bad?

Give me good reasons on what you believe.
None of that "YEAH! IT MAKES YOU FEEL GOOD! DAMN BOYYYYYYYYYYYYYY."

I've never done it and I might consider doing it mainly because I've never done it so I can't really have a say on it.

 

It is bad for people attempting to lose weight due to the fact that you always seem to want to eat.
Other than the short-term memory loss for any period lastign from 1 week - 1 month after use ceases, there aren't any bad side effects other than the chance that you get fined if you get caught, depending on your location.

 

In my opinion, it is bad, it slows down your mind, from what I've heard.

I don't think it's too harmful, so long as you don't do it often, or in large amounts.

 

First, it is impossible to overdose on Marijuana. Tests have shown that the ratio to overdose on marijuana is 40,000:1. Alcohol is 4:1. There have been no reported cases of dying from marijuana overdose.

Alcohol gets you drunk by producing toxins to kill brain receptors. Weed, stimulates brain receptors, but does not kill them. Studies show that there is 0% possibility of brain damage from smoking marijuana.

Marijuana has been proven to reduce, and in some cases eliminate, brain tumors.

Marijuana HAS been proven to cause lung, throat, and mouth cancer. However, the risk is substantially lower than smoking cigarettes. Also, inhaling anything that contains burnt carbon-matter can cause cancer (Like campfire smoke, burning paper, etc.), and the risk of cancer from smoking marijuana should only be a concern for chronic users, recreational users don't have a very high risk. Using a vaporizer (you can make one out of a lightbulb) practically eliminates this, as nothing is being burned and the THC (chemical that gets you high) is being converted from a fatty substance in the weed directly into a vapor, rather than smoke.

Marijuana is 0% addictive. There is no withdrawal from abstaining from weed.

Marijuana is not a gateway drug. Studies show that average people who smoke marijuana are not lead to harder drugs because of their past marijuana use. When the Netherlands legalized marijuana, cocaine and heroine use went down, rather than up.

If it's your first time, you more than likely wont feel anything. It wasn't until my third time that it hit me, and oh was it amazing.

But i have to admit Marijuana after about a year of smoking everyday its almost become a habit to smoke daily. but i could go without it if i had too.

 

There is a reason, the paper industry.

 

It's a safe drug as in it won't cause death by overdose and it won't cause cancer because the chemicals are different in it than tobacco. It is bad for you though and this comes from experience. Obviously it's bad on your lungs but what happened to me was I started off smoking once a week, then Summer came and it was an everyday thing. Once you do it everyday you kinda become lazy but if you just want to try it then go for it. My first time was amazing, too amazing lol, but just watch out, don't do it too much, and don't get into harder drugs because you don't know how hard an addiction is to break until you're hooked.

When I first smoked weed, I got high as a kite. Of course, my first time was using a vaporizer, so that did intensify the effect.

It's my first time so what are the chances of it effecting me with cancer or something?

Anything you smoke is bad for your lungs, but you won't get cancer from it unless you smoke 3 times a day for 10 years.

You won't die, just make sure you're with a friend in a safe place the first time and all will go smooth.

No, that you blindly believe that anything the government says is true.

 

Alot of people do it. It makes you relax and chill back. Most people laugh and crack up because they can't control themselves, But on the other hand smoking weed is illegal and it is bad for you. People say you can't get cancer from you, from the chemicals/Rolling paper/Cigars, Yes you can. It's proven and that weed kills brain cells and slows down the brain.

I'v done it before, I'v stoped because last time I did it I didn't like it, It makes you feel sick sometimes and so tired/heavy.
