Malicious isn't the point. It's the fact that he even does it. If you make an account to vade on, you get banned. It doesn't matter if you're good or bad, the consequence is a ban.

    Harmful things.

Edit: Since I'm going to bed, I'll just give say where I'm going.

He hasn't done anything harmful which show good reform. The Pardon section is for people who has shown reform. Therefore it makes sense to unban him.

As i've said before, whether it's harmful or not isn't relevant. He broke a rule that's consquence is a ban, two of them actually.

Ban evasion really isn't taken into account much unless they were vading to do harmful things or troll or such.

The pardon forum is for people to admit to breaking rules. I don't see how what you are saying is relevant. Its not our decision either, so why are we arguing about it?

I know this. What's irrelevant about it? And we're "arguing", as you put it, about it because...well let me give you an analogy. The president of the United States bombs Canada, kills 20,000 people. Americans argue about it. It's not our decision, but we argue over it. Simple enough. Also, i've already stated I don't care whether Atomic is or isn't banned.

Yeah I really worded that last part of the dispute stupidly. I'm not threatening to keep vading and being a sneaky user, when I make accounts everyone knows it's me and I get banned after doing what I need to do.

I was simply making the point that to keep banning these accounts is pretty silly as I will only make more to keep posting, why not have one where you can track what I'm up to and make sure I'm doing the right thing.

Essentially I was just being honest that if I were banned, I would just keep posting in this way.

I would have edited it to sound a bit less dickish but I couldn't edit, because I had no account, which was why I was posting... And so on.

    Heh, don't worry, when I was a mod I was a total hard-ass (just ask Finn ^^).

I probably wouldn't have supported unbanning me either haha. Though they're right, people do mature.

Atomic shouldn't have been unbanned, and I'm disappointed to see that this "pardon" system is being used not simply a way to forgive what happened, but as a way for banned users to take advantage of what's been forgotten.

How long were you a mod for? You're mod-ship was before my time...and yes, the infamous example of Finn.

    Eh.

I'm starting to side more with Atomic. I mean, he seems cool. But phising is a more serious offense then a lot of others in my opinion. The real dissapoint for me here is that people are supporting his vading because he does it to contribute; it does not matter.

I'm starting to dislike this pardon system. Many are denied, true but...

    Only time will tell.

Atomic hacked Cheeter, and gave the password to Sigex. Whatever excuse Atomic uses to claim he didn't, and however much Finn wants to believe him, that doesn't make it the truth.

I maintain that this is a mistake, and I hope (somewhat cynically) that time will prove it.

My thread was originally concentrating on the ending part, where he tells everyone he plans to ban evade if they don't allow him back into the community. How do you give into that? Did you feel frightened by that threat?
Please don't say you took it as a joke.
People that took Sythe's thread in the SPAM forum as a "joke" were permanently banned. (and many pardoned, of course)
I don't see how you give in, I really don't.

However Sin, you appear knowledgable. This wasn't meant to debate his ban, as I will repeat once again, I don't care about this one specific example. But did he only phise one person? The dispute only says "I sent out phising e-mails." Therefore I have no knowledge on how many people exactly, how many fell victim, and what Atomic did with the information he recieved. Shed some light if you will.

    1. You provided no evidence of you're accusations..
    2. I hate how people bring up join date, you have no idea how long I could have been on Sythe just as a spectator before registering an account..

    Lastly,

    3. I hate how people try to bring up join date as a means of destroying someones argument. I know I just joined recently compared to some others, which you can see quite clearly when I say "Your time as moderator was before my time", and how I ask Sin to shed light on a situation that I didn't witness.

Sorry to go off like that. Please don't get off topic anymore; this is a serious discussion. Whether or not you sound like a dick or I sound like I run Sythe, anyone that wants to discuss this matter including myself is allowed to do so.

Tbh it depends what he Phished. I don't have a clue what happened but... and 3 years ago, he would have probably grown up a bit by then. And from what I've seen, people like him and would trust him. He seems totally harmless and I believe that he should be unbanned.

It's interesting that Atomic gets pardoned while Harped remains banned. Harped's case was a much less extreme version of this.

Why is he allowed to keep his ex-mod rank?
