I see many people with 75attack 70str 99def, Why 75attack? they wont be using a godsword or something?

    Perfect tank?

    imo,

    1 atk,
    1 str,
    99 def,
    43/52 pray,
    99 range,
    99 mage,
    99 hp

    is the 'perfect' tank.

    Perfect tank?

alot of the time they use a godsword to train the defence.
even though a whip is faster...

In my opinion, a "perfect" tank has 70att 70str 99def 99range 70 prayer (piety for it's +25% def bonus) 99magic (lunars) 99hp and possibly 99 summoning if they wanna pk in multi and tank it out real hardcore with a steel titan. (they give mass def bonus)

    Perfect tank?

    Piety? Don't you mean rigour?

Both wrong. With 99 range hp mage and 74 pray(rigour) you're allowed 147 Attack or Strength levels before you'd level up. So it'd be completely retarded to stick at 1 attack/str, you'd be forcing soooooo much more time upon yourself training your defense.

    Perfect tank?

    No i meant piety.

Because of it's 25% defence bonus. Sure you can use eagle eye and ultimate def or w/e it's called for +15% range and 15% def to use p pots faster but hit more often.
but having the +25% def makes you get hit alot less, and uses p pots slower.

I never even thought about the new dung prayer, it doesn't seem worth it to me o_O for how much you have to do to get it.. but I suppose it is like piety for rangers.
So if you were going to make the perfect tank, it'd need that :D

    Good lookin out.

    Perfect tank?

Yeah we're talking perfect tanks, and offense always comes before defense because it's the offense that gets you kills.

    Perfect tank?

You could soulwar it just as easy with a decent range level as you could with a decent str/attack level.

And sure, you could use up your 160+ free atk/str levels, but then it wouldn't be as aesthetically pleasing. Wouldn't be 'perfect'.

    Perfect tank?

    Nope...

Roughly 60 attack / Strength along with his other suggested stats are a perfect tank. Why not 1 attack / strength? Simply because that is imposible. Quests you need to be a great tank get those stats up , also with void you need 42 in them. So roughly 60 in both is perfect.

    Perfect tank?

Attacking with longrange wouldn't give you a lot of xp per round...

So what if it's not aesthetically pleasing? It doesn't change your combat level one bit, thus is still perfect.

    Perfect tank?

Good point about the void. I guess it isn't optimal to keep attack and strength at 1; and though I do agree with you, I don't think I'd change my definition of a 'perfect' tanked based on it.

Apparently we believe in varying degrees of 'perfection' then.

    Perfect tank?

'Perfect' technically would be 42 attack and strength - cause lets be honest - without void they are average.

    Perfect tank?

There is only one perfection in this case: efficiency.
