Will this computer I'm going to buy run good games?

I would like to know if the specs of a computer I am planning to buy will be able to run Modern Warfare 2 with barely any lag.

    Specs:

CPU: NEW Socket AM3 AMD Athlon II 640 3.0Ghz x 4 Quad Core Processor

Motherboard: ASUS M4N68T-M Plus AM3+ DDR3 SATA slots PCI-E Quad Core Ready

RAM: Superior 4GB DDR3-1333 Performance dual channel memory
(I have 2GB ram I can insert if needed, so 6GB total)

    HDD: 500GB SATAII 7200RPM HDD

GRAPHICS: Geforce 7025 up to 1024MB (1GB) shared in Windows 7.

    CASE/PSU: Supercase TX373 mATX Black

DVD: 24X fastest dual layer DVD-RW

Will it be able to run good games?

I'm pretty sure it'll be able to handle Modern Warfare 2 easily. Also, I searched for the system requirements needed for MW2 and I got:

These are apparently the official requirements. From what I can see your computer should be able to handle it well.

What about the graphics card, do you think it's good enough?

Yes. You have a Geforce 7025 up to 1024MB (1GB) card. What is required is 256 MB NVIDIA GeForce 6600GT. Easily enough.

You have more than a good enough computer to run MW2. I think you can run about 2 maybe 3 of them before it will start to lag online.

But, what alot of people do not know, is that sometimes it is not your computer that will stop you from running a game, but it could infact be your Internet connection.

What type of internet connection to you have.

My internet is a flakey wireless connection.

Not to worry, I don't plan to play online for the most part.

I used MW2 as an example, but I'll play many more games haha.
Diabl0, do you think the graphics card will be good enough aswell?
    Thanks

That graphics card will play any game on the market at least at low detail, I'd say. All in all, it looks like a pretty good PC. 4GB RAM is probably enough for most stuff you'll doo, but make sure your 2GB is a DDR3 RAM (or your mobo supports DDR2; most DDR3 slots don't support both), orhterwise it won't fit.

Yes, I think it will be more than good enough to run a lot of the good game with 1Gig built into the Graphics card. even if it is 512mb it will still run a majority of the games very well.

    Alright, new problem guys.
Seller says the computer will need a new graphics card to run MW2 or Mafia Wars 2.

    Is he correct?

    Specs:

CPU: AMD Athlon II 250 Dual Core 3.0Ghz x 2 Socket AM3. New generation CPU! One of the fastest AMD Dual Core Available! Enhanced multitasking.

Motherboard: ASUS M4N68T-M Plus AM3+ DDR3 SATA slots PCI-E Quad Core Ready

RAM: 2GB DDR3-1333 High performance Dual channel memory (Latest technology with lifetime warranty)

Graphics: Nvidia Geforce GT220 1GB, Great for gaming!

HDD: 500GB SATAII 7200RPM Hard drive -- fast loading

DVD: Fastest 24X dual layer DVD-RW

Heres the specs of another computer I can purchase being $30 cheaper, but then again it is not quad core.
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=317931937 Don't mind the price, it's not in USD.
Is this a better choice than the specs of the one in this post? It's only $30 more. Thanks ( :
    Thanks.

No, the seller obviously is not too computer savy, that graphics card is more than good enough to run MW2. Also the second set of specs you posted are pretty intense as well. I would rather the second one because of the NVidia Gt220, and more HD space. I hope I have helped out, goodluck with your new computer buddy.

The second computer is okay, but I think I'd get the first. #2 has a slightly better GPU, but the CPU and RAM are literally half from the previous computer. Either get the second computer with another 2GB RAM or just get the first one. He's lying to you when he says that GPU won't play MW2. It should play it on high--if not max--settings.

Thanks you guys, but by "second one" are you referring to the one that I posted in my post (the specs) or the link I gave you? : )
