How to make my computer faster?

Like I want to be able to run x3 bots at once with no lag at all. I can currently barely x2

 

Empty your recycle bin and delete unwanted/unused programs

 

Run a "Disk Cleanup" and a "Disk Defragmenter" in System tools.

 

Done.

Done.

 

Honestly, the best way is just to re-format your computer.

OR. Pirate a good partition making software, Partition your hard drive.

Install Windows XP or Windows 7 on your other partition..

Dont install ANYTHING but bots.

This way you wont have anything slowing you down.


Hardware wise... get a quad core processor.


EDIT: also... assuming your using window 7, Click start> Type in "View advanced system"> Click the link that shows.


Click the Advanced Tab
Click Settings under performance

Click Adjust for best performance... and just switch it back when not botting.

That's a hardware problem, not a software one...

 

Overclocking is always an option. I'm running a quad core at 4.3ghz right now. what motherboard do you have? some new ones come with something called OCGenie which is basically like an automatic overclock.

He can't upgrade to a Quad Core, look, it says it's a Notebook in the picture.

I don't think Overclocking a Laptop is a very good idea.

Anyways, my advice is to also parition your hard drive and just install XP or 7, also if you don't mind telling us, what operating system are you using now?

yes, my mistake, i didn't read the part that said it was a laptop/ overclocking would be a bad idea

 

One quick tip, most laptops come with some type of hardware control system, like ACPI. These systems will lower your CPU speed & hard drive speed to lengthen the lifetime of your battery and keep your computer cool. Which is great for laptops.

You can usually control this system by disabling hardware decelerating.


I dont feel like opening my laptop right now, but you can go to control panel>Power options

You should see a list of options if you clicked advanced settings.

Make sure when plugged in, minimum processing power is 100% and max is 100%.

Always run bots while plugged in.

 

Install smartclose.
Make's you're computer shut down the stuff it doest use.

 

Run a disc defrag and disc cleanup.

Uninstall programs that aren't necessary

Get more ram and stuff like that

 

Format your PC and reinstall windows would be the best thing to do.
And use Windows Classic theme...this might help a lot too.
