    Sleeping Faster

    So, It usually takes me a little while before I can fall asleep and it would be in my best intrest if I could fall asleep faster lol.

    I usually go to the bathroom, brush my teeth, pee etc. Then turn on the T.V. lay in bed, watch comedy central and talk to people on facebook or whatever.
    I usually don't eat much at all so I'm not bloated before I sleep but I usually do have a cookie or something small. My bed is comfortable for the most part (college bed). I usually go to sleep between 11 and 1 but sometimes later. I have to wake up by 9:30 every school day

    Any suggestions on how to fall asleep faster?

    My suggestions:

    - Turn the volume down, and have it on a channel you aren't interested in watching.
    - Make your room pitch black.
    - Don't be on Facebook. Social interaction makes your brain active.

    And, sleeping pills :)

    I go to sleep at 12-2 and wake up at 7, lol.

    Enough self-sympathy, your issue is that you are not tired at the end of the day. Looking at screens for hours on end makes you awake, and it is hard to fall asleep. I suggest you stop using the TV or computer about 1/2 hour before you go to sleep. The second and most important thing is that exercise makes you sleep better. You should exercise daily and make sure that you are exhausted by the end of the day.

    Highly addictive and are not good if you have to wake up at a certain time.

    -Well I wasnt sleeping with the volume on lol I just watch it when im laying in bed then turn it off when I feel really tired
    -My room is mainly dark but i read some dim light is better then just pitch black
    -I guess I could end facebook earlier then usual but its just boring lol caz im not like super tired most of the time

    Sleeping pills is something I would Not do becuase I just hate pills period lol

    I usually skateboard but now i moved and can't find others who skateboard with me and being by yourself skateboarding is honestly No fun whatsoever.
    It usually does take me 30mins or more before I fall asleep as it is so yeah trying faster but I think I understand what you mean

    How much exercise do you get? Exercising (not excessively) will make your body want sleep.. What do you do when as you're trying to sleep? Are you thinking, watching TV, etc.?

    If watching TV, put it on like AV and just set it on sleep. It's just a blank screen so it shouldn't stop you from sleeping. If you're just thinking, you'll do just that. When you're truly tired you'll go to sleep.
    I go to bed around 11-3 and wake up at 6 :p..

    This is just some things i do.

    • Pretend your body is sinking into you're bed starting with your toes then your legs and gradualy go up.
    • Tense all muscles in your body starting with the toes and working upward. If you mess up start over hold them tense for around 10 seconds then relax.
    • Watch a movie on a ipod/psp/handheld.
    • Try not to drink caffine more than 5 hours away from your normal bed time.
    • Tell yourself that you ARE tired even if you aren't
    • If you belive use of marijuana smoke a little bit to get drowsy.
    • Go to your doctor to seek help/sleeping pills.

    Hmm

    I used to have a sleeping problem usually taking me forever to catch some ZzZ's the trick for my was;

    Take a bath/Shower just before you sleep,
    Get everything sorted for the next day so you have no worry,
    Purchase a Radio preferably with a timer I just get in my bed and turn the lights out and just listen to music and usually within 10 minutes I'm out cold ;D

    If your goal is to get to bed by say midnight, I would advise you not do anything physical after 9:30 - 10:00. The more you move and make your self active the harder it will be to fall asleep. I would also advise not consuming any caffeine before 6 p.m.

    Fuck no. Don't mean to sound explicit here, but you wake up with cum in your shorts. Like, the left over cum in your tube...

    Just listen to boring radio or music, I do that and it works a treat, sleep within an hour easily.

    yoga works magic. before going to sleep, take few deep and long breaths for few mins. helps your muscles relax

    I think you are sleeping way too much. If you fall asleep at 11 and wake up at 930, that is excessive. Try staying up later, then you will be more sleepy the next night.

    I would also suggest sleeping pills. When you have a lot going on it is hard to make your mind shut down. A sleeping pill would help.

    alright, i surggest that you'd better prepare some mike and mel everynight one hour before you go to bed,then mix them,drinking,coz milk will help you relax your body for going to sleep ,and the mel will be beneficial to your metabolism next morning when you wake up,hope this can help you lol

    You should stay out of your bed when your on facebook and only use your bed for sleeping, not for talking to people on facebook.

    Don't watch TV where you sleep, I used to do this and I stayed up for an hour each night before sleeping, until I moved my T.V.

    Masturbating does actually work. Do it like 20 minutes before you actually want to sleep (or when you lay down, you'll wake up with dried cum on your legs). Give it time to all get out.

    It will make you really tired. I do this when I can't sleep sometimes.

    I agree with everything in this thread but beer.

    Honestly, I have mild insomnia and nothing but Marijuana puts me to sleep easy.
    Sleeping pills make me exhausted throughout the whole next day after taking them :(

    The best advice I can give you is the following:

    Try to stay awake, the harder you try to stay awake the faster you will fall asleep. I have tested this theory after it came up in a discussion in my college class. It is worth a shot, it worked for me.
