Multiple accounts

Allowing members to create multiple accounts isn't creating too many issues. If the accounts interact (I.E. Self Vouching) then they will generally be caught and banned.

 

Let everyone to do this, and you won't catch 40-60% of the self-vouchers.

 

Want to make a bet on that? Its only a matter of time.

 

Just because you have had 2 accounts and one gets banned, if you go on the other its still ban evading, Doesn't matter if you Made The Account Befor, At the same time or after you got banned.

So its a pointless Rule.

 

But really, what's the point of two accounts?

You only need the one, if you had two, it's cause you're hiding something or up to something

 

I don't understand how having multiple accounts protects your privacy.

I rarely post these days, but this topic interested me so here goes:

I say get rid of multiple sythe accounts. Nothing good has come from them, nor nothing good will ever come from them.

Sure there are reasons for having multiple accounts, but are they really healthy reasons? (spending too much time on sythe, evading, trolling, etc etc)

I think administration should weigh the pro's and con's and go with the obvious choice. And not be pressured into ignoring this issue just because e-friends or e-bullies want to troll and/or hide their activities.

Why ban them if they are doing nothing wrong? Also can't people only have one account but a family member be on sythe with the same IP?

Having a rule to stop multiple account users, when they aren't doing anything wrong is stupid in my opinion because it can cause problems without any being there in the first place.

 

Its always going to be denied for the 1000th time.

BAN EVASION would be almost unbannable at that point.

 

There can be many advantages in a bad way, for example, doing several votes on a poll to increase a certain one to win.

Or when vouching for someone, give them like 3 vouches from your accounts, and so on.

There could be several possibilities to why someone would want to make another account..e.g. they want a different name, begin a fresh start, or want to post a problem in PS&A forum without people knowing who they 'really were'. Not everyone with two accounts [both of which are unbanned] are out for some malicious or deceptive purpose.

 

That's a very big problem.

 

Just look at it this way,
if you are a person with intelligent posts and positive attitude and you aren't a moron, you won't need to hide your identity. Screw your name, you have plenty of time to think of it while you register.

Just don't act like an idiot and you will be respected and won't have to 'hide'

You all are making the argument that there's no harm because if one is banned, the other one can be banned for evasion. Avoiding having the other one there can help avoid scams, as the second account could have a decently high postcount, join date, or even vouches, and be able to scam after the first account is banned.
