Can this turn into an effective pker?

Well I want to turn my main into an effective pker. If you guys can recommend gear too, that would be great Please no "melee max", etc

I guess you could get 75 def, than max out and you'd be good.

 

You'll need to get 75 Defense, do some quests, train a lot of Prayer (TBH, you'll almost need Turmoil to survive), and max out Str/Attack, but it'd work just fine after that. Slap on some Barrows Armour and DFS with a Whip/Arma GS combo (or Chaotic Rapier/LS and the GS), and it'll be a pretty great "Barrows Pure." Too bad they're the most expensive type of PKer to make, aside from possibly a Summoning tank.

The two quests you'll need are RFD (fully completed) and Temple at Senntisten (which has a lot of prereq quests).

EDIT: By the way, pay attention to the quests' rewards. I believe Temple and some of its prereqs give Defense EXP as a reward. At level 75, it might not matter, but keep an eye out anyway.

 

That looks really expensive.. Too bad im really poor lol. I think I'll just start anew with an f2p pure.

 

Start new, but don't be fooled when people tell you having at least 40 def is better 1 def pures kick rune pure's asses.
