How can I change my IP?

How can I change my IP?

    Step 1:
Changing your IP is quite easy.
At the onset you should log onto your modem or router.
This can be done by typing the following into the address bar:

    Step 2:
Your secondary action would be logging in so that you can adjust the settings of your modem or router.
The usual log-in information for User & Password: Admin.

    Step 3:
Following your second step, you will have to restart your modem/router.
In my case, I will have to press 'advanced' settings and then 'reboot gateway.'

    Result:
In an instant, your internet will shut off while the modem/router is being reset.
After it resets your IP should be changed.
    Have fun changing your IP.
    :D

How can I change my IP?

This does not work with a static IP which is provided by some ISPs.

How can I change my IP?

I know the OP is banned, but this guide critique should be informative for others creating tech guides similar to this.

First of all, the concept of an IP is difficult for many users to understand. It would be beneficial to begin your guide with a definition or explanation of how an IP works. Secondly, your guide, which may or may not be effective, is extremely brief and useless if a user needs another solution.

You haven't described what factors change your IP, the different kinds of IP's, what role your ISP plays, what role your modem plays, what role your router plays, or what a MAC Address is. In fact, you are basically telling the reader to reboot their modem, which as people have previously stated, does nothing for static IP's and won't do anything for those on ISP's who used Dynamic IP's that are rotated on a set time limit.

When writing a tech guide, you need to build it from the ground up. Start with the very basics, explore all possible solutions, and always include detailed explanations.
