Explanation of the trade: My Identification in return for rights to sell on your site, with the promise that it will not be shared with any third party's
How they scammed: Eldorado states in their terms of service, that they are a middleman for all trades conducted on their site. Specifically they mention that "users shall pay all sales taxes" associated to all sales, (section 6.7) the VAT (value added taxes) for each sale (section 6.7), which is a sales tax imposed in each country of the EU (european union). Eldorado has a mandatory ID verification and address and country verification for all sellers who wish to continue selling on there, because when governments audit them for taxes, the unpaid vat/sales taxes liability and risk will be thrown onto each seller on there. 5.8. Eldorado reserves the right to cooperate fully with governmental authorities, private investigators, and/or injured third parties in the investigation of any suspected criminal or civil wrongdoing. Furthermore, Eldorado may disclose the identity and contact information of any User if requested to do so by a government or law enforcement body, an injured third party, a subpoena, or any other legal action, and Eldorado shall not be liable for damages or any other consequences thereof. Eldorado states to it's sellers specifically that your personal data is handled and stored securely, never shared with any third parties. ( See screenshot above) Meanwhile in their terms of service they write : Eldorado may disclose the identity and contact information of any User if requested to do so by a government or law enforcement body, an injured third party, a subpoena, or any other legal action, and Eldorado shall not be liable for damages or any other consequences thereof. I want my identification deleted from their systems and all information of me deleted with evidence, or a paid house in mexico. The sellers were promised that their identification would not be shared with any third party's, meanwhile your terms of service state that during the event of an audit, we will all be thrown under the bus for millions of dollars worth of your liability for operating a gold site with sales tax evasion rates.

I would also like to note that eldorado does not disclose the country of their buyers which is necessary for sellers to know how much sales tax to charge. Meaning that they are fully aware that none of their sellers pay sales taxes on eldorado

Eldorado is required to verify all sellers for platform security and compliance reasons. After the verification procedure, ID verification and similar documents are deleted within 30 days. Such data is never shared with third parties, unless we are required to by an official police request, court order, or similar legal action by the authorities. All online platforms work in this way. I can confirm that Eldorado has never received such a request for your data and has not disclosed it to anyone. If you would like for your Eldorado account to be deleted, please reach out to our customer support team while logged in to your Eldorado account and request this.

Regarding taxes, Eldorado as a platform pays all taxes which it is required to by EU law, and sellers are responsible for paying taxes according to the laws of the jurisdictions from which they operate. Some very large online marketplaces like Amazon automate this process to provide a better experience for sellers. However, we're not at the scale yet where we can handle taxes for sellers from hundreds of different countries ourselves, so sellers need to manage this process on their own.

 

How are your sellers supposed to pay the sales taxes for each buyer on your website when you don't disclose the country where the buyer is from, while writing in your terms and conditions that sellers are responsible for the sales taxes incured on eldorado.gg. Basically no one is authorized on your site to have the information needed on each customer to charge a sales tax to your customers, but they are at the same time responsible for the liability when the government cracks down.

Do you mean to tell me that after one month if the government requests the information of all the sellers that are responsible for paying the sales taxes incured on eldorado.gg, the information will be deleted and they won't be supplied with this information? How are you able to send my information to the government if it's deleted after 30 days
