    Botting on own IP

Hey there. I wanna bot some accounts for fun, but I'll be doing that on my own IP adress.

Will that give problems for my main account which I will not be botting on? I will only be botting on other accounts

I believe your main account will be safe, however there have been rumors that jagex started doing ip bans for botting.(heard it once so far) but they have stated over 2 years ago they would also ban other accounts from the same owner when offending rules.

    Dont really worry,

The chances might be 99/100 that it will happen to you over a 5year period.
But yes, there have been multiple reports of this, so far only seen this happening once on sythe, not so long ago.

Since this is very unlikely and very rare it can happen. But I think this really depends on the persons botting history, what kinda and how many blackmarks he got and on how many accounts on a different ip.

The best thing is to monitor the bots,
Also use trusted botting clients, you can pretty much find only safe botting software here on sythe, look in the stickies and you may find out. But you prob know already. Some bots dont have to be monitored, that depends on where you bot, if you imagine a place is safe to bot you can pretty much leave it running overnight, (but in any case, ip bon or no ip ban there is no recommendation to suicide bot longer then 48-72hours and its wise to create a different pattern after you suicided, a more humanly pattern of playing (think about 10hours a day) It really depends if youre flagged or not, during the event which is easy to recognize by the amount of randoms you'll receive.

Mining, runecrafting or fishing are imo safe skills to suicide bot.
And if you dont have a botting history, i cant seem to imagine any of your accounts are going to get banned soon, as long as you bot safely ofcourse.

    As lured yah said.
A rumor has recently spread that Jagex will start banning account associated with a botter's IP address.

your main will most likely be safe if you bot on your own IP. A VPS is recommended though because if you do get banned, it will be easier to just say someone else botted your account. plus, they can check the ip to verify

FaGex only IP bans people for Account Hijacking/hacking and serious RWT offenses.

You most likely will not get an ip ban. Its been stated here before that most IP bans are for serious offenses, like big gold companies from china, ect.

If you bot on a different account you will be fine on your main. its like a .0001% chance you might get ip banned....

Edit: if that number scares you, you might want to look into a VPS

VPS's cost money. Lots of money.

You won't be IP banned from botting.

Your main account should be fine. The only way it wouldn't be is if you bot on a lot of separate accounts till the point where you get ip-banned.

    Botting on own IP

Your main account is at as much threat as you're other accounts. Jagex knows your IP (obviously) and, if your main was created on the same IP, or has been accessed recently on the same IP, you have a high chance of getting IP'd (all accounts get banned, but you may still create new ones). Unless Jagex decides the offense was minor, but I wouldn't suggest suicide botting. But good luck otherwise.
