    Buying accounts=100% fail

Here's why: If you have the initial info that was used to create the account(as the guy that's selling to you probably does), it can be recovered 100% of the time, regardless of whether the new owner got members and recoveries on it. In fact, advertising things like no recovery questions in an account sale is almost laughable because of how little it does in regards to account recovery.

I wonder now looking at the accounts being sold on here what % of them are eventually scammed back/recovered, whether it's a week or 5 months after the sale.

The point of me posting this is: How do the people who spend 500$+ on an account feel at all safe dumping that much money into such an unsure investment? Is there something I'm missing?

That's why you use an account recovery test and a MiddleMan every time you do an account-trade transaction.

If it goes through, then you should be fine. If he can recover it, sleep at night knowing you can recover it back. Make sure you recover test it without recovery questions set.

Anything you buy or sell is taking a risk. That's obviously a risk you think if worth taking that's why you sell / by stuff.

So don't complain if you get scammed or whatever. Use a OMM on all trades to solve those issues , or simply don't buy accounts etc.

They can always be recovered back

If you take the precautions that Pokemoners said you'll generally be fine. However yes, there are some greedy scammers on this website who will recover there accounts.

I totally agree with op and disagree with people below. It is a fail because it is easily possible for a scammer to come by and take your money by recovering the account even if you use omm etc.

More realistically a 75% fail. Not everyone recovers.

I actually basically agree with this. But if you just do your research, and you can confirm the person you are buying from is legit, you should be ok generally.

It's a god damn black market, nothing's legal here, so if ur scarred - go train urself...

EDIT: and yet if u are using black market, use it wisely, use OMM, don't buy from leechers and etc etc...

I have sold a few Accounts on RSbot via IRL meeting. Took a while to find a serious buyer but it's worth it. And if someone spends like 200$+ on an Account I couldnt agree with myself to recover it because that's really fucked up.

I'm gonna have to say that I without a doubt disagree although it is the most risk, it all depends on the seller themselves. Ive recently sold my old 138 main here on sythe, giving all important and legit info, and have no plans of trying anything to get the account back, and hopefully soon will be selling a few more accounts ive been working on.

It's a shame it's always been like that ever since we had a black market, but these days you can do the recovery test with an OMM if you're paying alot for an account

I rarely buy accounts, but if I do, I only buy from people with over 100 vouches :/

Too risky imo, even with a MM / OMM.

It's about a 95% fail. Because, eventually, the seller will recover out of pure boredom like a year later, and you lose out. Which is why you shouldn't buy from people not trusted. Period. Boxxy out.

Exactly, I've bought a couple accounts in the past. Some of the accounts didn't belong to the person that sold me the account. All of them got recovered back/locked. Some are trusted (even mods on other forums) but they aren't the original owners of the account and sell it. A couple months or a year or so later it gets recovered.

I remember working extremely hard on the accounts, buying gold from websites to make the account stronger and get better weapons.

It gets recovered and I can't get it back (with some info and recovs).

Worst part is some people recovers the account and transfers gold/buys the junk from their main. So you'll have to start from scratch again... And there's a big possibility that they could do that again in the future.

Boxxy feels like talking in third person.

Boxxy enjoys risk trading (off-site/other sites). Boxxy gets accounts that are recovered shortly after with nothing to try to fix it with. Boxxy becomes a depressed Boxxy.

But Boxxy gets revenge via IP tracing (Boxxy enjoys being a /b/tard right now) and ruining their lives due to scamming. Scamming kills. Online.
