Lots of... Leechers...

Why are there SO MANY leechers on the account sales forums right now? Practically every thread which claims to be selling a 130+ RS account is created by a leecher who joined in September. Also, 90% say the same thing with similar words, E.G

I am quitting RS due to college/life and I want to sell my RS account because I haven't played in 3 months/ I'm bored of it. Etc etc.


Anyone else noticed this? I've been wondering if it's just one person making all the threads trying to scam as much as possible in something of an 'attack' against Sythe, especially as it comes so soon after the ddos stuff.

Well, we all started out somewhere didn't we. There's alot of scammers, but not everyone is, so give them a chance. If they agree on using an OMM & providing all information & irl contact details, there's nothing much to be scared of.

My personal opinion is that they are an infestation of some type. Pest control, anyone?

 

Leechers aren't necessarily scammers. Think about it, most people who sell accounts aren't planning to do lots of trades on Sythe. They usually just want to do one... sell their account. So why would they have a lot of posts?

In my (admittedly limited) experience, reliable account sellers tend to take an interest in Sythe as a whole. This does mostly result in a high postcount, whereas those looking to scam tend to either spam useless posts or only have one post: The account sales thread.


But yes, you're correct. I'm stereotyping leechers. There just seems to be more than normal around at the moment - Most of them are either selling 130+ accounts or turmoil zerker accounts. Not really sure why, or what the trend signifies, but hey. That's the point of this thread!

No, it's not hard to find a "legit" leecher these days. If you know how to trade safely, then you don't have to worry.

By the way; members are only 50 posts away from leechers, so members and leechers isn't much of a difference, besides the fact the leechers might have joined not so long ago.

Two reasons mostly. First is they can be legit people who don't normally use websites like Sythe and then when they are done playing some one tells them they can make a few hundred by selling their account so they do. The more common reason is probably scammers who make an account and then sell their account but then recover it 1 week later and scam a good 200$ of you.

 

its true there are alot of leachers and i know i joined this month and im basicly a leacher but im having trouble selling my main im 100% legit i just want to make a trade to be honest im willing to use omm give all deatils of account everything but no one seems to be intrested becuase i join this month i use to trade on rsbot but some one called jagex fails banned me becuase i said he was power abuseing lol and sythe has a much better community

 

I don't dispute that there must be some legit leechers: I'm simply saying that I've never encountered any. And that's not exactly a strange phenomenon, as far as I'm aware.

 

hey now...i r legit lol, just have never had a need to use a site like this, in the past week i have used REPPED sources and spent over 350 bucks on here =), ask r2 he can vouche for that shizzle haha

 

Most of people just sell account once. You must stay safe, and get irl details , etc... But i agree, still most of the leachers are vaders/scammers.

Everyone gotta start somewhere, and the majority of the leechers in RS account sales are scammers anyways.
I know a few legit leechers, nd thats it.

theres lvl 130's on there for sale by people with lots of vouches to use them if you dont feel comfortable with a leecher ..... ive bought off leechers and havnt been scammed
