Bob should obviously be pardoned on both parts; they made a mistake into putting him in jail originally, and it should be excused that he broke out as he was trying to prove himself innocent.

You still violated the justice system, although you ignored and violated these laws and will be punished for one or another reguardless, when you're out you do have the right to sue for being falsely convicted.

Now you explain how he lost time off of his life for being in jail for breaking out in the first place.

Most judges do have sympathy for these individuals, the punishment is differs from judges; fine, probation, community service, minimum jail sentence.

After you get your verdict you can sue and will be rewarded.

It wasn't deemed illegitimate at the time.

Put him back in prison. What did he need to break out for? Real life isn't like some action movie where you break out of prison and then hunt down the people that got you sent there. You talk to your lawyer and tell them where to find the evidence that exonerates you.

The justice system has an appeal process for a reason. Escaping a prison to prove your innocence is just stupid.

That's like trying to say two wrongs make a right.

I suspect his thread is highly based on "Prison Break", a television show.

But let's just play advocate to the scenario. But also, how/why exactly would your lawyer do such a thing for you? I mean, if the scenario is murder, why would he/she risk her life to help you, a convicted man? Money is incentive, but rarely enough to risk their life.

It is illegal to break out of jail, however I think he shouldn't be punished for it as he never belonged there in the first place. Of course that's not how it would happen in reality.

Yes, and I think it'd be really funny if this actually happened (maybe it already has happened somewhere).

In my opinion he should be pardoned from both crimes. It was the government fault that he had to escape jail in the first place.

    The law fails badly.

You get taken away 25 years of your life only for some cash. Rather help the dude, but we rather say to everyone hes a outlaw and needs a lockup because hes to hard to handle to legally take place in society.

Whats more scary is that those people never get good help. They dont help outlaws or prisoners to go on with their life, they only talk about their diagnose (which can be killing or drug trade) and continue about that subject every time rather then a real psychological conversation.

Then all those prisoners have all different backgrounds and nationalities and theyre basically all in the same cage. Thats why exspecially the us should do something about their health care which obama promised. Although he failed on that pretty badly up till now. I watch americas hardest prisons from time to time. And its all pretty interesting to see them fight and all, but i can imagine you would do the same even if you were totally no criminal since you just gotta take part like the rest of the prisoners.

Thats not real life, and you dont make people better this way, i think prison guards are gay ass motherfuckers.

    its just my view...

I don't think he would go back to jail but breaking out of jail is against the law for any reason whatsoever. I know we could come up with tons of examples but look at this example:
If Bob robs a store to feed his family should he have the same punishment as Joe who robs a store for drugs?
If you see they both broke the law but for different intent. One was more 'good' then the other but the law was still broken, which means both Bob and Joe should be punished.
So all in all I do believe that he should go back to Jail for breaking the law but the sentence could be and probably would be much shorter then his original sentence.
