    Help With Sweating?

I have been going to the gym for quite a while now, and i've noticed i sweat more in general. I think its because i'm filling out my clothes a lot more, some clothes that used to be baggy on me, now look like tight/slim fitting shirts. Simply driving for 30 minutes can leave me with sweat patches under my arms. This is the only place that i sweat, i do wear deodorant. I use Lynx Africa, it's always done the job for me in the past. I've tried 'Lynx Dry Africa', which comes out white and is supposed to stop sweating more. It doesn't do anything for me but just makes my underarm hairs stick together. Which can be annoying since i'll raise my arms up and because the hairs are stuck together, they will all pull at each other.

Can someone help me with this? I need to know how i can stop sweating under my arms, its getting quite embarrassing.

On a side note, i haven't been active on sythe for a while, but it seems more dead than it used to. Did we lose a lot of members or something?

    Help With Sweating?

Tyson, I know exactly how you feel, trust me. I used to have excessive sweating since I can remember. It was embarrasing because I couldn't wear gray shirts etc. But I reccomend this product called 'drysol'. I highly reccomend you google it and do some research on it, because it is by far the best excessive sweating product to use and it goes on very easy. I could wear the tightest, most noticable shirt for sweat stains and not have a drop under my arms. Hope I helped.

    Help With Sweating?

    this is an easy solution:

i used to have the same problem, now when i go to the gym i simply wear tank tops/muscle shirts. it helps air get in that area a lot easier because when you are wearing a t-shirt, the air will go in and get trapped inside, causing you to sweat more

    hope this helped :)

    Help With Sweating?

Not really an easy solution. I could go outside in -30 temperature with a tank top & still come inside with sweat under my arms. He asked for a solution to excessive sweating, not just sweating in general because your doing exercises that makes you sweat in the first place.

Usually sweating means your out of shape, and try using deodorant and wear a tank top.

    Help With Sweating?

Sweating isn't really a problem per se. You could just be sweating from the amount of daily water intake, which isn't bad. You could also experiment with different deodorants such as Dry Idea, Old Spice, etc. You can also take doctor prescribed pills or actually have surgery if you want to go the whole nine yards.

As Pureown said, try wearing muscle shirts. Switching deodorants wont help. The reason why your body sweats is because it's trying to cool itself off internally, and no matter what you put under your arms isn't going to stop the sweat from pouring. Also try wearing shorts as apposed to sweats. Drink a big glass of cold water 30 minutes before working out as well. This will not only cool your body down pre-workout, but also give it the fluids it needs during the workout. :)

    Help With Sweating?

I'm not really referring to sweating at the gym, i'm saying that going to the gym has caused me to sweat more in general. Like say i just went to the shops, and walked around a bit. I would have sweaty underarms as a result. This only started happening after i'd been going to the gym for 3 months +.

I want to know how to stop sweating in general, like when i am not at the gym. Even if i sat on the couch all day i'd probably sweat, don't know why. I drink 5 - 6L of water a day, and am not unfit.

And Kyle, thanks for your response. I will definately look into Drysol.

Sweating means someone is out of shape? So people who play professional sports just get oiled up in the locker room huh?

Professional sports players always sweat. Does that mean they're out of shape?

Tyson, I have a similar issue to you. All I need to do is run 30 metres and I'll start sweating, and I consider myself reasonably fit. Try using antiperspirant deodorant (I use Lynx Dry.) I've been using it for the last few months and it's back on the sweat a little.

    Help With Sweating?

Since it's the offtopic section; I'll address this. Over the past couple of weeks (months really) a lot of well-known members (i.e. plznate, grave, shall skill, lukef555 etc etc) have been banned for a variety of reasons; mainly ban evading and association with sketchy members (Brandon and Syed etc).

The staff section is also in tatters apparently. Finn and Sythe have been working damn hard to keep the site together (it's a rare occurrence to see sythe posting but it's been everywhere over the last couple of days). PLENTY of staff have resigned/been banned, it's just a complete mess really.

As a result there's been a loss of activity in off-topic, SFA, UE, rs general etc etc. It's sad to see, but hopefully we'll get some solid structure soon.

    I occasionally use 'Certain Dri.'

It's a roll on anti perspirent. It works for up to 72 hours, but should be applied every day at night. Works perfectly.
