What would deem my user "trusted"

As a new member all I think about is how to make myself "trusted." I am curious what I should do that would deem my user name "trusted" in your book.

Thanks in advance for helping me out with this!

I hope this is in the right thread section.

That's not a bad idea. Do you think people would appreciate if I botted on their account using Rsbots.net auths for free? Or would that not work because it requires no work.

"Trusted" is a subjective matter. You're probably not trusted with someone's account that has 500M on it right now because you have no trading history.

If you want to be trusted with handing people's accounts (e.g. transferring gold, questing, skilling, goldfarming) or fulfilling trades honorably (e.g. selling an item for cash), then you'll have to build up a history of using people's accounts and giving them back, or by simply completing trades. What smytheroo said (doing some free training on low-level accounts that have low risk) will get your foot in the door, but ultimately you have to show that you're able to handle higher-leveled accounts or transactions as well. People don't really care much about the "work" you have done on sythe as much as how many accounts have safely passed through your hands.

If you want to be trusted in account sales, you'll have to start selling accounts. Account sales is generally more lucrative because it's very easy to recover a sold account, so it takes highly trusted members. It's best to start here with low-leveled accounts, since people are reluctant to pay $100+ for an account to someone who could easily recover it back. Since you can't sell an account without any trust, you'll need a middleman (someone who has the trust to handle the trade for both parties), which costs a fee.

Eventually, with enough trade history in either side, you'll be considered universally trusted. This means that your reputation on Sythe as a seller/buyer is generally enough so that it is believed that you will never risk being banned being caught in a scam.

EDIT: It's important to keep track of your trades, too. Set up a vouch thread in the Vouches Forum to keep track of who you have dealt with. Be sure and read the rules of the forum to keep the format up to standard.

This was a great explanation. +Rep if there was such thing.

Basically, in a simpler term, you've got to set up a vouch page first to record all your successful contributions. Vouches are of great importance in telling whether or not someone is trust-able. Then you can start a free/paid service (usually people don't care if you bot or not), and finally once you've gained lots of vouches and have been here a good while, you can move on to becoming an MM for an even GREATER number of vouches. But again, first thing to do is to set up a skilling/questing/torso/etc service, and by doing order after order, people will realize and be like "hey this guy is legit" and "i feel fine trusting him with my main and having him bot him to 99 str" because you've established yourself. Hope this help

What I did was start with free skilling service for vouches(which failed epic because no one trusted me with their accounts). Later I learned that it doesn't matter the quantity of vouches you have, but the quality of vouches you have.

Try and get known a little more around Sythe, make some friends, try and do some free services, and you will eventually work your way up as a trusted user. Try and use full words when making a thread or a post(try not to use words like "acc 4 sell" or "free skillin service"). Offer to use an MM when trading, and be friendly to other users. Also try and be an active member.

    Hope this works.:)

If you got money get a 100$ donor rank. Then at least people will trust you with around 100$, as if you scam you just lost your 100$ used for donor rank.

Trusted is in the eye of the beholder.
For example, a $300 donator is less likely to scam for amounts under $300 than a normal member, because they lose value overall, but $300 donators have previously scammed under $100.

People tend to look at vouches, post count, and join date. I would trust someone more if they had more vouches, and joined 3 years ago instead of last week. And I would normally trust someone more with 1000 posts other than 50.

How to get trusted: Start doing some free skilling for some vouches before you start doing bigger trades. You could burn some maples for me if you want :D

In my opinion "Do some free training" is a bad suggestion. People need to look at the quality of vouches rather than the quantity. If you have a lot of vouches for free services, then you've never had your hands on someone elses money before; therefore when doing a large trade who knows, the temptation to scam may be too much for you; and nobody has vouched that you're trustworthy with anything but free services so..

    See where i'm going?

I sold rs items, went first with trusted members -- got vouches -- opened up a skilling service for DG and have done a few accounts with no problems ... free botting really accomplishes nothing imo.
