What Classifies A Person As Being Smart?

The fool believes himself to be wise, but the wise man knows himself to be a fool.

 

Hm smart can mean allot of things so I'll give two opinions

1.

"A person who thinks before they make an action"

2.

"Highly intelligent"

 

Alot of it is vocabulary and using it correctly. One odd thing that seems to help is glasses. Everytime someone starts wearing glasses all they hear is how much smarter they look.

 

Critical thinking

Also a big vocabulary means absolutely nothing

 

Which is why there's different levels of intelligence.

IQ measures just this. You're tested in all the major fields, on the way your brain works, etc, and it determines if you can communicate effectively.

Being able to communicate effectively is probably the most important trait of intelligence. For, even if you know everything in the universe, there can be no judging your knowledge if you do not have the ability to prove such intel.

 

If you know everything, you must know how to communicate; for if you do not know how to communicate, you do not know everything young grasshoppah.

 

Intelligence? Sharpness, proficiency at abstract thought and logical thinking, etc.

 

Someone who does well at school probably makes a huge effort rather than being smart.

In my opinion, somebody who is smart is very good at problem solving, wide range of knowledge and one that doesn't use bad vocab.
