I was looking at a vouch-related topic, about vouching for free services not being allowed, and I read this comment on it:
If vouching would be done the above way, it would be way more accurate and better to determine if someone is trustable for what your going to use them for.

    example, what would look better:

The above is pretty much a double example, the old vouching way can be done as simple or long as the person vouching wanted. the new way will automatically be filled in more accurate as the old way, and it will way better reflect what the users have been trusted with.

I support this. I also think there should be some kind of required categorizing for vouches, for example $1-10, $11-25, $26-50, $51-100, $101-250 etc.

I support this. It would help a lot. I sometimes see people with like 50 post count and a few vouches that all say "Vouch for *insert name*" and you have no idea what the trade is actually for.

Let's remember, vouching isn't about a certain trade or occurrence, vouching for someone means you are standing as proof of their trust and reputation, and technically vouches should only be given out when you are completely and utterly sure of someone's trust, not for a small little trade.

I support, but it should only be applied to new vouches.

This. There should be a distinction between the reporting of a successful trade and a vouch for someone's trustworthiness.

I know, but I'm not sure if your aware, but theres often people asking for vouches when I do a fire cape for them with them going first, If I'd vouch for that the vouch wouldn't have any meaning.

This is what happens often, people buy a pin, and ask for a vouch. or people train 1-10 woodcutting on a lvl 3 and get a vouch.

    that's unacceptable.

Off topic/ The only thing writing in red is doing for you is pissing people off. The color is obnoxious on this forum.. Try a different color, or just post like a normal person. It isn't going to get you closer to mod and is only an eye sore.

    On topic/
No support, you don't have to trade to vouch someone. Vouching states that you would trust that individual. I've been vouched by mods etc. that I've never done a trade with. Few individuals that recommended me for OMM I didn't trade with. There's no reason to implement this.
If someone wants to know what the trade was for, they can go to the thread. Hell, people can use the format if they want to. It just seems unneeded.

this colour better? I do the same with colours on my clan forum, anyways on topic. my point is that people often get vouched for something that doesn't gain them trust. but your right, looking back would probably be easier.

    No, it's annoying.
Gain them trust? I've trusted a few select people I know on this site more then I'd ever trust an mod etc. Marcell (before he was mod) I became good friends with him, he's been on my accounts etc. FFF, he's banned, but he still has access to some of my RS accounts. I'd trust him with anything as well. You don't have to trade someone/vouch someone to trust them.

It's up to the user trading them whether they trust him or not. Don't trust them, use an MM.

I don't really think it's needed. It'll just take longer and annoy some members. And it won't really help that much.

Would be nice, but you couldn't make people change all their old vouches.

There is 10's of thousands of old vouches currently on Sythe so firstly you can not change that.

Secondly a vouch is not for a trade it just shows that you trust that person so you would pretty much have to change the world wide definition of "Vouch" for your layout to work. In saying that I think it would be useful for people to post that on their thread and say "If you believe I did a good job or successful trade please feel free to vouch on xxxxx with the following format."

Vouches aren't a currency, if you're not completely sure of their trustworthiness, just refuse to vouch them, there's nothing wrong with that.

The vouch would show that they are trusting and that they are willing to spend money in order to buy things its a stepping stone that gets them on their way to trust. Most people on this site started gaining trust by going first then moving their way on so i don't see why you assume it fails the way it is?

Also it would be to hard to faze out the old vouches and the template doesn't suit those who get staff vouches which some people seem to use. Just as someone else mentioned Vouches are not currency so shouldn't be treated as such or in anyway similar, although most do list the price of the vouch and who goes first it isn't required just preferred.
