why ban cool dog?

why is my mate cool-dog banned he was my only mate on sythe. i cant get through to him in msn and know he woudnt ever do anything to be banned.

would be real grateful if anyone could tell me.

huh thats the first time I heard of someone trying 2 sell a forum account

 

It happens all the time.

 

From what I've seen, there is one person in particular who pops up every couple of weeks with a new account, attempting to buy accounts. He usually manages to lure in a couple of new members before he gets banned again.

I can only assume that if it's true that he was trying to sell his account, he may have simply got greedy, or been tempted by someone like the person mentioned above.

 

I screen shotted the pic of the guy buying sythe accounts, will post if anyone wants me too.

 

Why would anyone buy a forum account ?

 

I would assume, to scam.

If you were to buy an account with vouches already on it, you could say you're trusted, when you clearly plan to scam. If it isn't your account originally, you won't be worried about being banned for scamming.

People buy trusted accounts so they can scam with them.

what about jcash, why is he banned and wtf is up with so many guru accounts/old accounts getting banned recently?

 

jCash was banned for leaking information from the staff lounge. Also, Sythe has re-enabled a tool that allows moderators to search an I.P and see if that I.P matches any other Sythe accounts. This is causing a lot of ban evaders to be caught.

Well, you could try the List of Staff/OMM Changes thread, which gives all information about when Staff/OMM's get promoted, demoted and banned. Or alternatively you can try Cosrobs thread; "The Banned Members of 2010" This gives detail on some of the members that were banned during the year of 2010. (Note, this one is unofficial.)

 

I was going to add ban reasons.... But, I couldn't find a way to keep the thread neat and tidy.
