Help with dad

Before i go on this is deadly serious,

So i found out my dad is using an adult dating sex site, he is 51 now and ofc i thought it disturbing, and its not right, ive tried talking to him before, he said he stopped but ive found out just now hes still doing it, i even logged into his other email because i set up a keylogger on his computer and changed his email details so he couldnt log in, any other recommendations for what i should do? or should i just let it go? My parents are also having a hard marriage time at the moment, and my mum doesnt know about this? is this enough to get my dad booted out of the house?

 

Damn bro I'm sorry to read that, this is a touchy subject, we don't know anything about you or your parents so I myself couldn't help you out... Some things you should ask yourself before making your decision are:
-Would your life be better/easier with your parents divorced?
-How would your mom feel?
-Would she get over it?
-Would your relationship with your dad be ruined if you rated him out?
-Would this cause any drama with other members of your family?
These are just some questions you should ask yourself before making a move, I personally, if my step dad was doing this, I would definitely rat him out, but I have more reasons, his positive actions get out-weighed by his negatives. Good luck bro.

Talk about shit advise. He obviously cares about his parent's marriage. Just because they're having rough time in their relationship does not mean he goes out looking for hookers. You should talk to your mom about it. She has the right to know even if it's just circumstantial that he is cheating. I always go by my saying; the sooner you find the truth, the less it hurts.

Anyway, your dad is 51 years old. It's his business, even if it's wrong. You can approach him about it and try and get him to stop, or you can tell him to seek counseling. Porn/sex etc. is the same as other addictions such as drugs. People have issues and let them come out in various ways.

 

I think it depends how their marriage is. if they fight all the time and are generally unhappy, then i don't see what 1 more thing could possibly change but if this is just like your dads "thing" that he does in private and doesnt interfere with anything else then it should be fine

To be honest you should tell your mum. It's only going to get worse if she finds out other ways. Also, a good way to stop him using it is putting an internet blocker on all websites you think he shouldn't go on. This way he'll get pissed at you. Now what can he do to you? Tell your mum? Nope, he will just have to give it all up.

 

Just tell your mom, if your dad is cheating or trying to find another women your mom obviously deserves the right to know, just let her deal with it after you tell her.

 

This is EXACTLY what happened to me. I just told my mom and he promised to stop and he never met anyone. Just tell your mom.

 

My mother was obsessed with online dating websites, for about six months. It all stopped when she told me, she met someone that resembled an older version of John C. Reilly. If your dad is using these websites for pleasure, I'd stop asking myself "how could he", and start questioning if he is happy and how is my parents relationship. Maybe your mom is the one having an affair, your dad could just be lonely.

 

I know this is bad, but I personally would blackmail my dad if he went on dating sites. Good way to get some money out of him, and if he didn't comply I'd just arrange a family meeting and confess for him. Just something I'd do.....

 

Hm, well if you really want to STOP him you could get a router and set it up to block pretty much any 18+ Content. I'm sure he wouldnt be able to figure out how to unblock that.

On a different note, if you have a good relationship with them just simply explain to them how you feel about it and they should stop if your bond is good.
