You're arguing that if someone has done any type of wrong in their life they should be punished forever.

Perfect people don't need to think logical, ie; Sanctuary - he's never done anything against the rules in his life.

That would imply someone proving that they have done it. You completely missed the them admitting it part.

    @Sythe. I'l take a look and see if I like it. =]

Stop comparing this to real life, because it's not.

It's not something, "wrong" it's something bannable.

Why would it make a difference if they admitted it? They still did whatever they did.

It's real life people making real life decisions, it's a successful comparison.

Because then we wouldn't know if they were banned from other sites.

It's what a person has done on a gaming community. If you want to compare it to REAL real life, then you could use this -

Most of the accusations being thrown around on here refer to scamming, you're claiming scamming isn't a real life action?

By real life I mean not over the internet.

Unless you're truly naive, you know what I mean. Try to stick with the main issue here.

It takes someone naive to call someone naive, especially when your terrible attempt in a debate refers to you deliberately falsifying an action that can take place in real life or the internet, then stating we should be punished forever for our actions.

I'm not falsifying anything, it's pretty common to refer to non-internet activities as, "real life".

By, "we" does that mean you've been previously banned? Hm

When he say's "we" I'm pretty sure he means us the people and you didn't answer his question so I guess I'll attempt to do so.

stating we should be punished forever for our actions.

I honestly think poor decisions and bad character comes with serious consequences, if you're willing to be a sour patch and ruin the fun for others then yes I do think you should be permanently removed from your surroundings but it also really depends on how serious the situation is, and how it effects others. I wouldn't expect the same punishment for someone whose fake vouching to boom their business to have the same punishment as someone whose actually scamming. There needs to be some sort of punishment to keep the cycle going or it will just end in chaos rather forever or just short term I believe it really depends on the situation.

Fake vouching really wouldn't happen before they can to Sythe, so that doesn't really work. Making it depend completely on the situation just makes people annoyed that some people are getting "special treatment".

This is still a terrible problem that needs to be addressed.

I agree with you SuF. I was reading over Six's pardon request, and his story can create some questions. http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=920600

He did something bad wayyyy back, but it seems like he is a different person than that. A few mistakes shouldn't ruin all the time dedicated to this community.

I support this thread completely and anyone who doesnt is stupid. Any staff that ever banned someone for scamming someone outside of sythe isnt very smart. Dont they ever consider that person could be a potential donator, a pontential contributor to the site in different aspects? You cant judge someone from what they did before they came to sythe but what they did when they were at sythe. There eliminating any chance of that person to help contribute to sythe because they did a scam before they joined? WHO CARES. oh oh i no the ignorant staffs that think they know everything and have pleasure in banning people for dumb reasons. If they scam someone from sythe that is very different and they deserve to be banned but otherwise they dont.

I disagree for one reason. I think people would use this as a way to talk about having "scammed in the past" pretty much bragging about their skills in cracking, phishing, scamming, etc without having to worry about their reputation. If you could find a reason around this then you have my support.

Good idea anyways ^_^ I'm just a newb here but I love to see how regular members can contribute and throw ideas without getting "I own the place bitch I don't care about your ideas" like the last site I was on.

Talking about such things would still be forbidden, you just would not be banned if people were to find out about these things.
