I need Runescape explanations!

Hello, I found my account back (didn't play Runescape since 07) and I was playing around, some guy told me you can't trade as much as you want, wilderness disappeared...


Can anyone explain to me those things? What happened to runescape? (And PS, is Saramodin good? some guy said he wanted to buy me...)

 

They added the Grand Exchange, and basically destroyed the wildy. The Grand Exchange is kind of like eBay lol. You sell stuff through it - you can search for items to buy for a set price, or sell items for a set price. They also added a trade limit, so you can no longer "lose" or "gain" a net profit of a certain amount in your trades (this goes up with quest points, amount of time as friend).

As for the wildy they added PvP specific loot drops. So instead of just getting what they were wearing when you kill them, depending on your earning potential (EP, which goes up over time when you're in a hotspot), you may get an item that they're wearing or a PvP drop such as a statuette, or medallion that you can sell to an NPC for money.

 

How do you PVP now? Where?

 

JaGex dedicated a few "pvp worlds" and "bounty hunter worlds" for pking only.

 

Runescape pvp has turned to shit now, sorry but its true. Pk worlds and bountys are just not enough for me.

 

Anything to gain gold fast, is now gone. Staking, old school pking, trade limit in place etc.

Wildnerness is now pvp, which is not bad, but drops are random depending on EP.

 

Explain this please.

Also when you trade, and put an item up, it will tell you the mid grand exchange value for the item in the trading screen

And it will say what your trading limit is, for f2p its a max of 5k, for p2p, its a max of like either 60 or 100k, i forget. But the more quest points you have, the bigger your trade limit. And if you and some1 are on each others friends lists for like 4 months, u get even higher trade limit. For example, I've been friends with this kid on rs for around 2 years, and my trade limit is about 33k, and so since I am friends with him, it let me trade a max of 114k

The limit works this way:

Lets say your trade limit is 5k, to make things simple

And an item you want to buy is 3k

You can buy the item for a max of 8k (5k + 3k = 8k)

or you can buy it for less than for 3k, but ur trade limit then changes for the next 15 minutes

So lets say the item is 3k, and you get it for free, you do your trade limit - the value of what you got = new trade limit. The trade limit will steadily go up and back to normal over a 15 minute period

So if you buy an item worth 15k, for 10k, you will not be able to buy anything over or less than the trade price showed in the trading screen (If your trade limit is 5k)

Also Jagex got rid of the old Wilderness because it was allegedly used for Real World Trading (people paying real life cash for runescape gold or items)
