burn the american flag

i see the american flag being burnt daily on the news here in england. Why is it ok for muslims to do that, but when someone burnts a qu'ran, the muslims say "we wont be able to controll ourselves."

 

because it seems like they are looking for anything to use as an excuse for violence

I couldn't agree more. people in this world are hypocritical with a lot of their beliefs. Take the issue of race for example. African Americans always say they do not want to be treated any differently than white Americans or anyone else living in america. they fought for their rights all through the 1900's showing that they clearly care about everybody being equal. But an example of their Hypocrisy would be how they use the word "Nigga"(or Nigger in a more literal sense) as a term of endearment between each other but if a white person says it, It's a terrible thing and they would be angry about it. They cannot say that they don't want discrimination when they are constantly discriminating and giving others different standards on the basis of race.

the whole point is that they're basically doing the same thing they're getting mad at us for almost doing. we never committed the second wrong and we wouldn't have been doing it to make things "right." The only extremism is coming from them with their constant disrespect towards America. last time i checked, burning qur'an's isn't what we do regularly here, but look at any video footage of a crowd in the middle east.

Hypocrisy, but they're semi-justified. The US invaded Iraq, and wanted to "restore democracy and control nuclear weapons." But I'm sure we know exactly why they invaded.

But many people do not realize, Christians and Muslims believe in the same God... The Quran is basically the Old Testament, but some of the parts are changed and translated to their own language. You must understand, Muslims and the terrorist group, Al-Qadea, are not the same thing. Al-Qadea is a group of extremists and they're next level shit compared to the Muslim religion. Past 9 years, everyone has been bashing Muslims and degrading them because of the Al-Qadea group. Why wouldn't they hate Americans if they caused them so much shit? I don't see why Americans should hate them and burn their Quran.

Also not all Muslims are extremists and it would just be ignorant to disrespect a whole religion over a small minority of extremists, you might not feel value if they burn your bible but they do and that needs to be respected.

Well, obviously the United States isn't a religion.

Although the United States has done bad things in the Middle East, you cannot pawn all blame onto an entity that does not act by itself. You can, however, blame the terrorists for terrorism (this stands for both sides).

As Americans we have control over ourselves, Muslims think they can threaten us for one of our people wanting to burn another country's flag and say they will retaliate. They have already forgotten what happened the last time they did that.

 

You realize that an American flag is a national symbol and the Quran is the Muslims' version of the Bible. I think you are just a bit mixed up with your logic.

 

Its like this because America invaded iraq in the first place, I would burn the US Flag if they had invaded my country and home and destroyed my life.

And again, retaliating with burning the Muslim version of the Bible is acceptable how? Hateful attacks against a country is nothing compared to hateful attacks against a religion is a big difference.

 

We didn't ATTACK Iraq. We invaded Iraq. Yes, there is a difference.
