Paypal Assistance

Hey, I recently purchased a game worth $50, they banned me for charging back the money even though I didn't charge back the money... so I want to actually charge back the money now, does anyone have advice on how to do it? I can give addition information if needed. I was thinking about just changing my ip and then giving an unauthorized transaction dispute.

Edit: Does anyone know if there are any dangers to doing an unauthorized dispute?

 

Depends if you purchased it within the past 45 days... If you have copy the transaction ID and file a dispute and say I did not receive the item listed or something.

Don't do it. It's considered fraud. Just talk with the owner of the site that banned you. If you really didn't charge charge back, there shouldn't be a problem clearing this up.

 

Not just an owner of a site, its a corporation, they banned me for fraud already, so what harm is there in actually committing the act? O_O

 

May I ask which Corporation this is? If you haven't committed the fraud then surely there is some way to solve your problem. Taking the money back is not the right option.

If you like, I'll add you on MSN, etc and try to help you out with this. If required I'll get in touch with the corporation for you and show them required proof, etc.

 

Why don't you just show them a picture of your paypal account showing that you haven't filled out a chargeback?

It would get you unbanned.

 

You will either lose the dispute, or get your paypal limited, as far as I know.

 

Don't lie, tell them what happened, if you have any proof show it by putting picture, links and any emails in your charge back.

 

It wouldn't get limited off 1 dispute. I've had quite a few on mine and it still functioned properly for another few months :noworry:.

 

If you lie to PayPal and someone proves it, PayPal will limit your account and contact the companies that run your credit card and bank accounts attached to your PayPal, red-flagging your account and giving them the choice to shut them down.

If they're a game company just call them and sort it out. Otherwise you're entitled to a chargeback. Paypal isn't going to limit your account if you aren't lying to them.

 

But if he charges back for the incorrect reason, then it is fraud. He should call them and explain the reason he is charging back.

 

Hmm, seems awkward your problem and I tried unauthorised payment but it never worked for me.
