Yea so I used to play RS couple years aga, about 4-6 years ago. All I ever did was pk and merchant, that in the free world. It was fun as hell, I logged on every day and pked, went back to world 1 varrock bought some lobbs and than went back out. Then I became a member after my friend gave me a santa which i sold and bought membership for, and used the rest of my money to train the pure and pk and merchant there also. It was the best shit, untill I saw all this no wildy shit and GE and that totally ruined the game so I quit before the updates even happened since school was starting.

I was just wondering, as someone who is coming back to the game after 4-5 years what all happened. I don't know anything about the GE and what happened to the Wildy and all this crap. I want to know if its worth coming back to the game, because if I do it would just be to make a pure and train it and kill people and merchant a bit. I have about I guess 7-11m left on my account, ill have to remember the password somehow though but I know its on it. Do you think its worth coming back to the game? Is it possible nowadays to make a pure and have fun like one used to in the wildy days?

 

Bounty worlds are still fun, except for the shitty numerical crap you need to actually get drops from kills.
Merching is alot harder now, and is mainly controlled by merching clans.

If you wish, come back and have some fun. But, most people will ward you away.

 

You can still pk, but not in the open wildy, theres a place in the wildy called bounty hunter where you can still pk each other. The wildy has also changed. Its still the wilderniss but in another way, with very hazardous monsters like revenants that hit pretty fast and can paralyze you (even for higher lvls, theyre dangerous to comeby if your not paying attention)

Apart from that theres no pking. There is a trade limit implemented. So you cant scam anymore, items have set values and you can only go up or down that value by a small margin. Theres no way to give someone a expensive item if he cant pay it or we. Gold transfering has therefore become a challenge to. There are ways, but theyre sold by sythe members and transfer methods get outdated since item values change everyday since the GE became some kind of economic balance.

usually merching is easy if you have alot of money. Keep yourself online at sythe, learn recent events, keep yourself updated on items in the GE which you can do right here

and usually (much inregardence to updates most of the time) prices will rise and you can buy them to sell for a enormous profit. Sometimes there are items that causes your money to double. I had this with furyes ones. Bought like 10 of them for 50mil and i got 90mil 2 weeks after.

And on top of that, runescapes interface changed, it has a real 3d environment now with full screen HD up to 1680x1050 with option for addex textures, shadows and graphics animations. But its not like rs is completely redesigned, same graphics, same environment, just improved like 10times.

On top of that, since wildy en ge are gone jagex has launched 200new updates and i would be insane to explain them all to you. Look at runescape.wikia or tip.it and learn about all the new skills etc, cause if i were to tell you i would need like 300.000 character long page to all tell you, but above chances are probably the most important once since 4-6years ago.

Though getting rich is not that hard, I could drop a couple bills to get a few more mills I already have 10mill on my member account that is stuck in the free world for the moment. Though really what I enjoyed most about runescape was training to get strong so that I can go kill other people in the wildy and crap. I thought that was the most appealing part of the game, but now that there really is no pking I don't know if I'll have as much fun coming back.
Are pures still in fashion? Is there any point in making pures? Will I get to kill people and actually make money? I had a level 63ish mage/ranger who had the ancient magic stuff and a good range level. I had a lot of fun with that account, is there still a duel arena?

 

Duel arena still exists in al kharid. Yes you can pk, but its primitive at best, dont expect your going to slaughter clans in bounty hunter.

Pures are very much in fashion, your going to get admired.

 

Staking is gone too, sucks, i know.

 

There is Bounty Hunter now, same as wildy just you dont get the drop you want/deserve and you can get a target. Not as fun as old wildy + Merching is even easyer with GE there are some good guides if your wanting to join again Ill find you one.

 

The GE is easier to get items, that is all really. The trade limit means you need to earn your gold.

Is this true? I thought it would be harder lmao, you can't take advantage of someone who doesn't know the prices. Also I was looking at some vids and wtf someone can hit 700s? wth is up with that cause when i played it was all 99 max everything
