The point of expensive earphones?

I have a pair of Shure SE 210 which cost around 120 dollars.

The sound quality improvement is very noticable I find with more expensive earphones. Each instrument is clearer to hear, especially the bass. I find everyhint is equalized better.

 

1. sound (The sound is way better on expensive earphones....unless you are deaf in some way.)
2. quality / durability (Better materials used causing it to last longer then cheaper earphones.)
3. comfort (I got some cheap earphones that really hurt after using them for more then 30 mins)

 

£10 headset from Tesco is the way to go.
I don't see the point in expensive sets If you want quality just use speakers..

 

Stop trying to convince yourself theres actually a difference. The only noticable differences in earbuds would be the highs and the bass response.

 

I don't like to blast music through headphones. So, I think the cheap ones are just fine. You dont need Dre's on max volume when the earphones are a centimeter away from your ear.

I payed 5,000円 (50.00 USD) for Skullcandy headphones. I prefer them over earbuds :S

Haha lol its basically, looks, style, brand and quality.
People love bass and can't stand it when they can hear stuff happening around them when they're trying to listen to music.

If you buy a $200 pair of BOSE headphones, they come with a lifetime warranty, meaning you never need to buy headphones again.
If they break, you can send the broken headphones in and they'll send you new ones.

 

LOL money == quality. TRUST ME! You'll never see a doctor without a Littman stethoscope, you'll never a person who makes a living with computers have a crappy OS/laptop. You'll never see a professional athlete without Nikes.

MONEY == QUALITY

 

I've had the same pair of earphones that came with my ipod for around 4 years now and they still work perfectly fine.

 

The kind I have have a MUCH better quality. Normally the more you pay for em the better they are, a few times though in the past I have gotten like 15$ ones and they have been fairly good for a while.

 

I've tried knockoff earphones and real earphones and the difference is enormous.

However, expensive doesn't always equal good. That's why you do research before buying something. I personally paid for a $30 pair of over ear headphones (Panasonic RP-HTX7) on ebay and they are amazing.

 

if you would work in sound, you'll notice a big difference

 

The point of good (not expensive) headphones is that they sound amazingly better. Even my like $40 koss headphones blow the water out of the shit that comes with ipods. If you can't tell the difference you must be listening to horrible quality music. If you're listening to FLACs and can't tell the difference between shitty ipod headphones and real headphones, well then I'm just sorry for you.

 

lol ^ u actually know koss!!! Props lol, i was expecting everyone on this thread to recommend skull candy and dr. dres. Honestly dres are overpriced. koss can match them pretty evenly.
