Learning Cannon rock?

I've been playing guitar for about 9 months and am getting ready to tackle down cannon rock. Any experienced players think this song is to tough? Should I attempt this, I've been playing and doing song covers from bands like Billy Talent nothing much. I learn quickly but dont really have the motivation.

It's not much really. I learned to play it but.. it's fucking gay, tbh.

I only play music I actually like and shit. But.. if you like this, go ahead. It just sounds harder than it actually is.

 

Easy song to learn apart form a few sweeps. If i was you i would learn the basics of it and then improvise your own version because everyone is sick of listening to it now.

 

I mainly would like to play this because my brother in law really likes this song and he also plays but had a tough time learning it. So I thought I'd try, its been a couple weeks and I got the intro down, havnt been playing that much because my amp is fucked.

 

This song is mostly appealing to people who aren't really involved with actual guitar playing, it's kind of like eye-candy to the uninformed. I would personally suggest to tackle down more technique rather a dumb cover song. Get into legato, smaller sweep-picking formations, then move on to larger ones, maybe even tapping while syncing both hands for 8 finger tapping. Depends on the genre you're into, but working on technique is better than covering any song in my opinion, although some songs can practice technique, it's better to sharpen the technique before you use an advanced form of it, if you get what I'm saying.

I think if you want to upgrade your skill, create your own solos/music ...

 

its pretty easy if you know the techniques to make the sound on the song.. the hardest is the sweeps

 

Me and a friend learnt this song. It's not that hard.

 

It's a really easy song actually.. only thing I'd recommend is only start learning it after you've listened to the song quite a lot and pretty much know the melody off by heart.. then you can probably figure out 50% of the song without any form of notation/tabs.

 

If u kno the correct techniques for it it can be quet easy jsut really depends on your skills.

 

I havn't completely mastered this song, but do you have the tabs for it? I found a decent set of tabs, changed a few things around that weren't right by listening to the original popular youtube video and I believe they are correct. If you would like, I could throw up a download for you, its just a text based file. At least for me, it's always easier for me to learn a new song when I can have the tabs sitting next to me while I practice, just lemme know man.
