What do you do for your acne?

Pretty simple, just see a dermatologist, over the counter stuff will never be as good as a professional.

 

I think you may of missed this.
By the way tanning/sun is not good mu-b. To others a very powerful drug called Accutane does have a side-effect of depression, so, yes it can lead to suicide.

People who have it bad enough should go to a dermatologist and ask for acutane. It's the only thing that has worked for anyone in my family. It's a "Last Resort" Pill. The only effect it has on men though, is possible depresion. Which didn't happen to any of my relatives. Good luck with your problem, and remember, dont be afraid to just ask your parents to go to the doctor about it. $30 a month is well worth the feeling you get when you have higher self esteem.

 

Pills are definitely only for severe acne. (And for celebrities on Proactive who want to say it works.)

If it's something minor, it's probably caused by oily or dry skin. In which case, you should buy three products: a gentle face cleanser, an acne cleanser/cleansing pads (the more salicylic acid or benzoyle peroxide, the stronger the stuff; if you have sensitive skin, beware), and an oil-free moisturizer. Use the three in that order; the first will clean and rejuvenate your skin, the second will dry out the moisture, and the third will keep your face from getting irritated (has to be oil-free or you'll just clog your pores again).

I'd recommend a great face mask, but I don't think most guys go for that stuff

To anyone who is thinking about getting on the acne pill, I honestly don't recommend it. Do as Sin said + drink lots of water a day and you should have a clearer face.

 

What I do for my acne is take a big slab of bacon and rub the fat all over my face before I go to bed.

 

I'm not sure how much the red/blue light treatment costs. It's late at night for me at the moment so i can't look up any details on it. I have no idea about insurance either but i'm sure it'd be different for you anyway since i don't think you live in Australia? (Not sure, i didn't look at your location before typing this).

I'll look up the website for you with all the specialized treatments that can be used by the dermatologist i go to. You might be able to get idea's from those treatments.



To clear up all this suicide pill stuff, thats accutane pills. They create depression etc, my friend had them and he wanted to kill himself at times. I do NOT take accutane pills, i'll read my pills tomorrow to find out what they are. What i use are antibiotics designed to heal acne.

 

Acne is completely different to a couple 'spots' or 'zits'. How many blueberries would you eat for a patch of redness for example? 1 per cubic centimetre? I very much doubt eating blueberries will help it, if it was that easy, everyone would just do that.


I read the tablets i take, its 'Minocycline' tablets. I haven't got time to look up the dermatologist website, its 6am, gotta leave for uni in 20 minutes + still have to shave and do a couple other things.

 

Are you serios? Lol. If you are I'll be eating blueberries tomorrow.

I usually pop my acne and that, it made it worse! I'd rather see a dermatologist to solve this problem.

 

use acne free, its a knock off of proactive works good for me.

 

Luckily i no longer have acne. Although about a year ago i had very bad acne, i tried many different store bought products which virtually did nothing. I then went to the doctor and got a prescription for it. I had to take a pill everyday for 6 months. My acne was virtually gone after two months. If store bought products don't work i would very much recommend this!

 

try not to eat food thats too oily
stress and too much heat are also some main reasons for acne

 

Every night put aloe vera on your face,.
Procedure :
1. wash face with warm water
2. dry
3. apply aloe vera allover ur face
4. go to sleep
5. wash face once and go to skool/where u go

it works.

 

Mines no sever at all, but im super insecure so that doesnt matter to me lol .

I use Noxema acne pads 3 times a day, morning after my shower, when i get back from highschool, and before i go to bed.

I use the cream once a day at maybe like 7PM

Works like a charm

 

I never had it bad, untill I got into Bodybuilding, and my test. levels skyrocketed, now it breaks out often. I just wash it with a warm towel before bed, and use a product called seabreeze, and it seems to keep it down. Most of my acne is on my back/shoulders, rather my face.
