The only one who is making the UE lose credibility is you. An ex-HUE who is being immature...

Dark, you're just making yourself look foolish. If memory serves me, you were one of the "rank hungry e-whores".
Either provide constructive feedback, or don't post.

With respect, nothing you've said helps us.

There is so much truth in that post.

You're obviously only here to pick a fight. In turn, replying to you would make us look bad and tarnish our image. I won't go down to that level, and I hope no other User Educator will. Feel free to post on this thread, but keep in mind that you'll only be talking to yourself as not many of us Educators value your opinion.

At first I was going to flood you with comebacks and arguments that outweighed yours and make you look more foolish but after deleting that I realised that you are doing it all yourself.

I personally think the whole UE team are helpful around the whole community and many of them have larger things coming for them in the future.

I will leave it at that and let you post back once again most likely quoting my post and writing once again another miserable two lines that prove nothing..

In saying that I expect none of the above most likely I gigantic paragraph or maybe you realise it is time for you to just leave.

If you want an argument, that's fine. But don't be giving me all this definitive shit, it's wrong.

    Hey Magic.

I have always wanted to become a UE myself , and have an application with 1 guide on it so far , but may I ask - What attributes do your guys look for when voting?

( If I'm even allowed to ask that )

Quality of guides, quality of posts around the forums, general politeness of users, attitude, association, and activity to name a few.

Read the tips on how to become a UE here: http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=879581. You can also ask us anything via PM.

To add to what Necro said, there are two main factors I consider before voting on an application. Firstly, the need for that extra educator on the team. If we have too many educators, or just enough for that matter, we tend to deny that application. The second, is what Necro touched on, but I'll give it to you in simple terms, will you be an asset to the User Education team? It usually takes a subjective answer to answer that question, but as User Educators, we are each entitled to our own opinions on how things should work on the team. I can honestly say the majority of application are denied for the latter, when you become a User Educator you gradually learn that one users actions can create a negative image for the whole team, or that his actions may leave a positive notion on the rest of team.

    Thanks for your question.

How do you perceive User Educators in general?
A group of like-minded individuals on Sythe that want to help their fellow man.

Do you consider them "normal users"?
    More-so, yes.

Do you think the User Educators represent a positive image?
In terms of helping people, yes. But that is what everyone should do.

Do you think they should do more? If so, specify.
Nope. They're doing fine so far.

Have you ever considered applying/applied before? If yes to the former, please tell use why you did not.
I have multiple times but I am not well known enough to be one, unfortunately.

Do you think the User Education section is helpful?
    Indeed I do.

What changes would you like made to User Education, if any?
More people. And remove the 3 application limit.

What are your thoughts on the current team?

    Great, friendly people.

    I cope, indeed.

Being well known is almost a non-factor. I rarely if ever take it into consideration when voting on an application. Users who are relatively unknown have become User Educators before, Influenza, Brendan W are two example. Think about it, if being a User Educator required being well-known, people like Farcast and Cosrob would not have been denied.

More people would make it more crowded and difficult. We have basic requirements to fulfill on the checklist, but the more people there is, the harder it is to complete the basic requirements.

Do you consider them "normal users"?-Yes

Do you think the User Educators represent a positive image?-Yes, it represents someone you can trust on Sythe.

Do you think they should do more? If so, specify.-I think the guides they publish are more than enough to help people out personally, so no.

Have you ever considered applying/applied before? If yes to the former, please tell use why you did not.-Yes; I did not because I'm still new to sythe and want to collect more vouches/post counts before I attempt to apply.

Do you think the User Education section is helpful?-Very helpful yes.

What changes would you like made to User Education, if any?-Make their presence more known, like put the User Education section up higher in the list of mini-forums on Sythe.

What are your thoughts on the current team?-I like them, I dont have much to say about it but there doing a good job imo =)

This ended up rather longer than I expected, so to add a slight TL;DR:

The UE section itself is useful, but my personal view is that the rank of UE is entirely unnecessary.
