    How do you perceive User Educators in general?
    • A bunch of cool people that enjoy helping others.

    Do you consider them "normal users"?
    • Yes. The User Education do it to help others, not to impersonate staff.

    Do you think the User Educators represent a positive image?
    • Yes. The few bans that have occurred have been due to questionable reasoning.

    Do you think they should do more? If so, specify.
    • No, the requirements are fine.

    Have you ever considered applying/applied before? If yes to the former, please tell use why you did not.
    • Yes.

    Do you think the User Education section is helpful?
    • Yes.

    What changes would you like made to User Education, if any?
    • No.

    What are your thoughts on the current team?
    • Amazing guys, glad to have met them.

    Anything you would like to add goes below.
    • Please don't read this and say. "Oh he's saying this because he's part of the team - I am not.

    Looking at who has posted I guess you will get a perspective from a normal player on this one.

    How do you perceive User Educators in general?

    I think some of them do put alot of hard work into the community and helping people but there is a few who are just wanting that rank.

    Do you consider them "normal users"?


    No, I do respect them more around Sythe and all of that but I would not trust them more in a trade than somebody equal vouches, posts, join date.

    Do you think the User Educators represent a positive image?
    Yes, nearly all of the time I think they are a positive image to Sythe.

    Do you think they should do more? If so, specify.

    Yes and No. I think that with some user educators once they get their little symbol under there name they get lazy and not as helpful but others work equally as hard and still fulfil their job as an user educator.

    Have you ever considered applying/applied before? If yes to the former, please tell use why you did not.


    I did at one stage but I just found I am not highly advanced in anything to with General Computing where I would have liked to start off and found I didn't know what to write about.

    Do you think the User Education section is helpful?

    I do, I use it often but I find there is a lot of the same stuff in there and not much gets added regularly which I can understand because it is hard to find something to write about and put it all together.

    What changes would you like made to User Education, if any?

    None, I think there is nothing really to be added to it other than some more threads.

    What are your thoughts on the current team?

    I find that most of the current User Educators are helpful, respected and well known members of the community. Looking at just this thread Xeleration, Hahanerd45, Feren Silver and obviously Magic Arrow are in this thread and I have seen all four of these users around the place a lot and respect and trust each of them.

    I think most of them just do it because they want a rank, but there are a few that actually do it to help people.

    Absolutely

    Eh, somewhat I suppose.

    Just keep writing guides, nothing really else they can do.

    No, because I'm not interested.

    Sometimes, but it seems like most guides were written in 15-20 minutes with no real effort.

    What changes would you like made to User Education, if any?
    Nothing, I don't really see the point of having "User Educators" in the first place, if people really wanted to help other people they would write guides without wanting a rank.

    Thank you all for taking the time to fill it out. It annoys me that many people see us as rank huggers. That said, I can tell you the User Education section is actually a fun place to talk to people. You can think of it as an exclusive forum, were people are usually mature and you can actually talk to people about things. There are other self-satisfactions to being a User Educator, the team feel if you will, the satisfaction of having a good group of people around you. There's more, but I'm fasting and my mind is a bit blank.

    I'm disappointed nobody had any questions, I was looking forward to answering them.

    The only change I would like to see is getting rid of nominating people for UE.

    I don't think it's really fair. It's like giving a person omm for having 500 vouches.


    Yes you can say "umad denied ue app" but I had this thought before being denied.

    This. While my application was in pending pokemoners2 was just randomly nominated and accepted with only three guides. I'm not saying anything against pokemoners2, but atleast I took the time to fill out a full application with five guides.

    I understand what you guys are saying. Nominations were originally implemented for when there weren't enough User Educators to hold up the section. Now in Pokemonrs2's case, it wasn't used in an orthodox manner, as there were plenty of applicants and the User Education team didn't necessarily need anymore users. I understand it can be a bit frustrating when you feel you've done more to deserve something and that somebody else gets it while you don't. I welcome you guys to re-apply in future, and I'll do my best to help you in the application process.

    Can any1 suggest me some Ideas because I feel like getting more into the User Education are.. Not for the rank more or less because Alot of the trusted members are alot more active and nice to talk to.. and I find that 1. I enjoy writing guides. 2. I Enjoy Helping people 3. It will be a good way to get known

    Where is your HUE and why is he/she accepting this? Any credibility the UE section had has just been lost.

    you can write as many guides as you like you dont need a rank to do it.

    I do have a question for you magic arrow

    how many of the members with the "UE" Rank still write guides after receiving their rank?

    Can i please have an example of 1 member who has written the most guides "after" receiveing the UE rank, and one who has written the least "after" receiving their UE rank just so i can get a feel for the range of the UE's efforts. You do not need to name names but i would just like accurate info Thanks. :D

    We operate based on a checklist. We need not write guides if we don't want to. It's easier to complete the checklist if we do though, as writing guides gives us the most points.

    May I ask why? You seem to be saying that we're losing credibility because we want to know how the community views us and wanting to know how we can improve? I'm glad you're not a current Head User Educator.

    The UE team completes a checklist, anybody who does not complete the monthly checklist will face demotion if he cannot give the Head User Educators a valid excuse as to why he couldn't complete. Making a guide is a part of this checklist, as are many other helpful things a user educator can complete. Many choose to make a guide, as it is worth a large portion of the total points required to complete a checklist.

    As far as I'm concerned, a thread such as this would only benefit and improve our team. Asking the community what they think of the UE will only benefit our section, I'd like to know the reason as to why you disagree with this, Dark.

    Yes you may. You're loosing credibility by making this post in the community general section, nobody cares. You say you do most your work in the private section, unless you keep more private guides than public that's a lie. You want to know how to improve? Just asking that question is like shooting yourself in the foot, 50.cal styley. Fortunately for me I don't care what you think.. As for you, good luck.

    Please don't think this is anything against the UE section, the UE section was a fantastic idea, and it's execution.. well.. This is against your, and people with your mind set who managed to let the UE section become the laughing stock that it is.

    I never said we do most of our work in the private section, I said we do our main work there. Obviously people like you do not want to see the User Education flourish and improve. We're trying our best to have a good public image, all we're asking for is some public feedback. The User Education is far from a laughing stock, all section and user groups have people who do not like them, and we're fine with that. As long as we help people, and complete our duties as User Educators then there is nothing more we can do. I have tried my best to help my team, I've tried to display good characteristics, be helpful and friendly all the while completing my duties as a User Educator. If my team feels that I display bad characteristics, and/or am tarnishing the User Education image, then they can feel free to tell me, and I will gladly step aside. I can't please everyone, and to be quite honest with you, you're one person I wouldn't mind disappointing.

    @The Dark.. I don't know how you can say that?
    Around 15 non UE Have filled out the survey and taken their time into completing it correctly. Obviously people do care or they would not fill out the survey. Do not say they filled it out for the +1 Post Count because it takes a lot longer to fill it out than to go and spam somewhere else and is not worth the effort for just a post count. Making guides isn't the only thing they do, they help around the community a lot as well, from what I have seen. How would this be shooting themselves in the foot? There is people like you that think of UE's as nothing so they are asking how can they improve to get more respect from the Idiots like yourself.

    This is a battle you can not win because you are wrong and if you do not care what they think then do not come back and post with another stupid argument.
