Can you bring me up to speed?

Hello guys Im new to the fourms here so Ill give a little background about myself. I have played WoW for the past 3 years or so I know how to code java python and some C++. Okay to the question Ive grown really bored of WoW and Im looking for something new to do so Ive never played Runescape. I was just wondering if someone can give me some noob friendly advice and point me in the General Direction of making money for gear and things like that. Much Appreciated guys!

 

Create an account would be a nice start. It also depends upon you becoming a member or not.

 

Just train the skill; Slayer. It trains your combat levels and makes good cash.

 

If you're not member, start it off with the basics, woodcutting / fishing, and you can either use the logs you get from woodcutting and burn them to get up "Firemaking", or use the fish you get to cook them to get up "Cooking", then sell them, or you can just sell them. Good luck, and have fun

 

Personally I would not suggest start playing Runescape in the condition it is in now. Going down hill pretty bad. The updates are getting worse every month. If you really do want to get into it the only tip I would have is to be nice to others to get some friends and then get some skills like fishing, mining and woodcutting up. Those are easy skills for a good return profit.

 

What you talking about bubba? It is not going downhill.

Do not make a pure, play as a main. Try out quests and skills, if you enjoy, get members and you will have a lot of content to play with

 

Get some friends, get some money skills up like Woodcutting is great for beggining. Head to the GE and start selling those normal logs for some top dollar.
Chatting to friends while skilling has to be the best thing about runescape, and since your coming from WoW, you won't be one bit interested in combat. It'd be best to bot combat and then just do PvP if you really wanted to.
