Why? Not everybody uses the market section frequently.

Tbh to me, post count and vouches = nothing, it's all about how mature the person is, a normal person who respects himself would never scam anyone.

Sorry but I completely disagree with your post :p. Their are some mature people who would scam a teenager for 30 bucks just because its easy money. They are aware that they might really hurt the kid being scammed but just choose to live with themselves. I got scammed in February By a guy with 4 years on sythe, 30+ vouches and like 1000 posts. He scammed me for a skiller worth around 10 Usd. He was a mature person who i had known for a while, but when it came down to how trustworthy he was....Well lets just say he didn't prove himself in that category. Anyways haha the best way to find out how trustworthy someone is is to just use your best judgment.

I think post count does have some significance, because why would someone who spent their time making 1,000 posts waste it all scamming. I'm not saying that it doesn't happen, but it definitely reduces the chances.

People can get 800 posts in 2 days easily. Then scam someone of $100, get banned, repeat.

From what I've seen of nearly a year here, post's mean nothing, it's all on the person. If they act weird, their going to scam, the easier they are to talk to, better my trades have went.

I've been scammed by someone with 1.2k posts and was a member since '07.
I've had a legit trade where I went first to a 4 post leecher.

Some people are mature, some aren't, some take advantage of others. I mean almost half of the posters here are banned already.

    A big lol:

Post count in my opinion means very little. I have 350+ yet i've never made a single trade on sythe. Some might consider me trusted after while, and i guess it might make sense. What post count does is give people a sense of security in knowing that they won't be scammed, because no one with high post count would risk a ban for few dollars. Obviously because if they have more post count then it means they're more involved in community, and wouldn't want to lose the privileges to come here.

Well, it just shows activity on the forums. A person with a high post count doesn't automatically qualify them for being trustworthy.

Just because you know someone, doesn't mean you know them. *hint hint*

I try *not* to look at a user's post count before I make a trade. Since I have been with Sythe, I have been scammed three times, once by a guru and one by an apprentice.

Just goes to show that high post count does not equal trustworthiness.

both of these were people who were 0 post counts for years and then scammed.

i did try addressing this issue but no one seems to care lol.

vouches are the best thing to go off.

Personally, if 2 people were selling a similar account and it was between buying off a guy with 15 posts and 0 vouches and a guy with 3k posts and 45 vouches, like any normal person would, I'd choose the second person simply because in essence, they have more to 'risk' if they are caught scamming over the guy that just joined yesterday and all his posts are from bumping his thread. Posts don't necessarily have value, but certainly someone with a higher post count would be less likely to scam you over a person that doesn't.

Not always, some people merely spam to get higher post count.
