My paypal account(s) keep getting locked.

This is the second account that has been locked.

My original verified account that was connected to my bank account was locked because i sold a a partyhat a few months ago on fagex.net and the guy scammed me and did a chargeback... i couldn't seem to resolve the matter nor could i pay it off so they locked it and my bank account has been blacklisted.

Ever since this incident i've decided to avoid providing most personal information when using paypal. I had an account to receive money when selling something (IE godbows recently) where then i would send it to another account just in case they attempted to scam and charge-back. Both accounts have been locked until i fill out the above form. I had about 30 USD on one of them, which was supposed to be used to pay someone i recently hired for hunter training.

Do i really have to provide paypal with all of this information or is there a loophole around this? This is actually really getting on my fucking nerves, when did they decide to stick their noses in other peoples business? The evidence they want me to provide them with is ridiculous as well.... power bills, my government issued ID, my bank account, my credit card (which i dont own one) , phone bill's etc. Invasion of fucking privacy and for what? "suspicious activity" because ive been making 3 USD payments at a time for virtual services?

 

From my understanding, it's your IP address at fault.

You may not have more than 1 person and 1 business/premier account on your IP address. Any more will just result in your account being locked.

You need to change a computer-Mac and you can not use the same name and surname also.

 

What do you mean change a computer-mac?


Also, i've followed a few steps off of the link provided.. how would i even know if my IP has changed or not?

 

Write down your IP before the change and write it down again after the change.

 

Change your IP address by spoofing your router's MAC Address (which is in no way permanent or foolproof), change your computer's MAC Address using SMAC, and don't use any similar personal information.

You can have another account on another IP, using the same address and personal details. It's worked for me up to now.

 

It's not fraud. You could provide someone else's (with their permission) information. Changing your MAC Address isn't fraud.

 

Eh, I got the assumption you were suggesting random names/addresses... Also... if you ask to use someone else's alias... couldn't that also lead identity theft?

What if he scams to the point where the local authorities are notified? Who's in trouble, then? <_<

 

No one is if the identity he borrowed consents to allowing him to use his or her information.
