I understand that there will always be scammers (sadly), but even a slight decrease would be great.

 

What if; You had of sold that account and then the original owner had recovered it back, that would mean 2 people would of been scammed ;(

 

I know who recovered it now, but I won't try to slander his name, because I can't prove it. But again, this is not about the $10. It's about the principle of scamming.

 

Account trades are almost always scams.
It may take 2 hours, 12 days or 6 months but eventually the account will be recovered from the original owner.

This is because:
-most people are scammers
-many sold accounts are 'resold' as you were going to do
-it is insanely easy to recover accounts even after long periods of time


Had you resold it in time you could have been banned if the potential buyer reported you with enough proof.

 

Please, before you respond, if at all, read more than the first paragraph...

This thread was not intended to express my anger towards losing my $10, but at scamming in general. I am well aware of the dangers of buying accounts, my point is why SHOULD there be danger?

 

I think That the point you made is valid But if you dident want to mention the fact that you lost $10 you wouldent of said it. So in my Opinion you are trying to Highlight the fact that you lost $10 but thats how I see it . But I hope you wont get scammed again and you will take Precautions or w.e next time .

 

i know how u feel i recently got scammed 20 bucks from a guy with like 30 something vouches. and like you said its not so much that i lost the money its that some bastard low life got it. its so tempting to recover the acccs you sold or to take advantage of a situation expecialy after you have been scammed but u just have to remember what it feels like to get butt fucked by a scammer.

its truly sad that people have to lie/steal to get a few bucks/items on a game.

Came back to sell my accounts, got scammed for $60 so far L, decided to only do recovery tests with admins from now.

Well written, even though $10 aint much, its sad to get scammed.

 

I feel like we should implement a suggestion I read before, being forced to link a paypal/moneybookers account to your Sythe account. It isn't fair to the people who don't use the market, but it would be for the security of the users as a whole. Ultimately, it would stop vaders, and force scammers to be giving their personal information to the admins, who in turn could use that against them as proof (like Finn did with that one kid who scammed him), thus forcing them to give back the money. So to keep this short, I agree completely, I had an account recovered back from me 7 MONTHS after I bought it and I wasn't so mad about the account, more about how pathetic that person is.

This happened to me several time, you can't really do anything about it. Though, it seems that if you have an email verified on the account, you would automatically recover the account back easily.

 

Consider yourself lucky, people have been scammed much more than $10.
