botting while your computer is asleep?

Is this in anyways possible because if I leave a bot on all day my comp like burns up it gets so hot but I am new to this new generation of botting I guess and I am mostly talking about using Kminer.

 

If you mean when your monitors asleep? Then yes. That works fine for me, nothing had to be set-up for that to work.

Yes, what you do is go to the control panel and go to power and battery settings. From there, there should be a option that says "When lid is shut". Toggle the option saying no action. It should be default setted onto "hibernate", but you want it to to be "No action". What this does is it allows programs to run on your computer while the lid is just. It prevent overheating. There is another option but its much more complicated which is to get a VPS.

How is this even possible...

So your bot will sleep just like everything on your PC....It gets activated again when you unsleep your PC.

 

I have the problem, I have to leave my laptop on.

Get a VPS to avoid this.

 

I am confused on what VPS's are do they like run my bot while my comp is off can someone explain please simply what they do

A VPS is a Virtual Private Server. It's sort of like another computer. You could run bots on it with you laptop turned off.

I'm not sure what the most affordable site is to purchase a VPS. I know Burst.net has good ones, but they aren't allowing bots to be run on them anymore.

 

To answer your question in the title, no it cannot. The only way the computer runs a bot is if its running, not asleep, if this helps. What you can do if you have Vista or Windows 7, go to ur power options and put it on power saver and bot all night. Nothing should go wrong with the laptop or computer. I do it 24/7 and my comp is fine.

 

Yeah don't think you can do that. I would just run it on a VPS- look at rsbotvps.com

 

Unless you buy a VPS it is impossible. I would suggest just buying a fan to cool your laptop.

As long as your WiFi or your cable is still is still on/plugged in, it should still bot away even though your monitor is asleep/off.

You will need to change the settings for the WiFi for it not to disconnect when your monitor is asleep.

 

my laptop screen goes black after the 30 minutes its designated to, and my bot continues to run so i guess i'm botting with sleep..

don't see why your lappy doesn't just do the same, maybe your bot uses the actual mouse [meaning you can't do anything else while it runs]

If your monitor is off your computer is not sleeping...
those are two different things.
