Terry Jones? Burning Quran Sept 11th Wrong? Right?

Personally i think hes gonna get murdered before he can do this but thats just me..

Simply ignorance. The Al-Queda/Taliban and what they did on Sept 11 is a horrible representation of Islam, but people are too blind to recognize that. The religion actually reflects good morals but again all people see is muslim=terrorist. It's horrible to see that God-fearing, hard-working true Muslims get punished by actions that do not reflect in any way their beliefs.

 

It's his freedom of expression, but does that make it right? no. Just like some others...That I won't get into on this thread.

 

i think it doesn't matter. it was just a piece of paper and the fact that the muslims or whatever were involved in the terrorist attacks made it matter even less

Talk about arrogance. First off all, its not a piece of paper, It's made of 114 Chapters. And the terrorists did not write the Qur'an. It was Mohammad. Would it be acceptable for Muslims to go around burning the Bible for all the Christians did to them, no. Because your mixing up extremists with people who actually follow the religion. Plus by burning the Qur'an all these people are doing is adding fuel to the fire. Those so called "mujahedin's" of the Taliban and Al Queda who are convinced that they're fighting for their religion, will now have something to justify their future actions.

If I went Live on television and burned "Twilight" I'm pretty sure Followers of Twilight would be upset too. And don't tell me that The Quran is a holy book because it's just as fictional as the Harry Potter series.

 

This is not the appropriate place for debates on the validity of the Qur'an or the religion of Islam.

On topic: I don't think that burning the Qur'an will do anything but stir up emotions between Non-Muslims and Muslims living in, and, coincidentally, outside of the United States.

Prove to me me that we are "made of clay" and that Allah molded us in our mother's wombs. Also, prove that he created the universe, and that Mohammed remembered everything that he was told by God and wrote it down and made a book known today as the Quran.

Nothing wrong with burning decorative paper, apart from contributing to the loss of poor trees and aiding co2 levels. As if that was the only copy too.

 

What makes this book so holy? It's just paper, with ink on it. Also, would you like to prove anything that I've asked in my post? or are you just gonna defend it with no logic? Man that was stupid...

 

What's holy too some might not be holy to others. It's up for an individual to decide what they believe is holy.

 

I don't see what he hopes to achieve with this.
