I bought one of those pre-paid Visa card type deals for $25's. It says it's activated but I can't buy ANYTHING with it. It's for online use only. I don't know if the cashier had to activate it because she was a..Well, you know. I didn't see her activate it. But I called the number on the back of the card and they said it was activated. I don't know what to do. giftcardmall is the type of card I bought. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post a link to the site. I did register the card, have no idea what's wrong!
Go back with your receipt proving that you bought the card. If a gift card activation slip didn't come out of the printer with the receipt, then it wasn't activated properly.
http://www.giftcardstore.ca/visacard/ sign up to the left and if you already did that part then there is something in there to activate the card when you get to the menu. i bought the same card and had the same problems. I also waited like 3 hours for it to work and that helped me out a little.
^^^^ As revenge said, you need to register the card online. It may not be that site though so look on the back of your card. There should be an web address at the top of the card. Once you're on the site, just follow the instructions to login with your card. Once you're logged in, the card will be available for online use.
Yeah, when I buy a card - I had to wait 3-5 hours before the card was able to be used online. Just be patient and try registering online.
