How to create a custom e-mail ([email protected]) with inbox

Introduction

Hello and welcome to my 5th guide! This how-to will show you the way to create a custom e-mail with an inbox. I'm saying this because you can also create a custom e-mail for instant messaging, but without an inbox (you can't send nor recieve e-mails). Check this guide if your looking for that.





Creating the website

For our custom e-mail, you'll need to create a website, and then prove it's yours. If your looking for a free one, you can find xxxxx.webs.com websites, xxxxx.iespana.com, etc. But I personaly don't like these, and I'll show you how to create a free xxxxx.co.cc website, with nothing in the middle. To do this, go to co.cc



"Fedoramail.co.cc" would be my e-mail domain. This means the name you choose for your website will be the x's: [email protected]. If your desired e-mail domain is available, click on "Continue registration"



Some rare domains like "Fedora.co.cc" or "Lol.co.cc" are available, but they're not free. Check if it's free before clicking on "Create an account now", unless you have a co.cc account.



Enter your personal information, accept Terms of Service and click on create now.





Click on set up.





Click on 3. Url Forwarding and we can now minimize and move onto the next step.







Google Apps Mail

Now we have our domain created, go to this page.
.Enter your created domain here:



Enter some information:



Now enter the e-mail you desire and your password:



To use Google App's service, we need to verificate the domain is ours.



Now, follow the picture's instructions:



Now we have that code copied, go back to the co.cc page. Follow the instructions:



Great! Now we have to wait for Google to verificate our ownership. In the Google Apps page, it says that it can take 48 hours, but it normally takes 1-2 hours or even instantly.

We can now check our inbox and send e-mails!

Awesome guide, but it was annoying with all the pictures in spanish D:

 

Damn pictures have expired... And I've just sent my re-app...

 

You should definitely use Photobucket or some other site that will keep the pictures up permanently. I would appreciate it as I was trying to follow this guide but without the pictures it's pretty difficult haha >_<
